Labcorp is seeking an Business Data Enablement Engineer I to join our team at, Brigade Twin Towers, 5th Floor, Crest Block, in Bangalore, Karnataka.

Job Description
Working as part of the Business Data Enablement Team, the Business Data Enablement Engineer I acts as a product owner and strategic business partner to drive process design, requirements development, testing oversight, and operational readiness for key technology initiatives while aligning business priorities with IT execution.
The position will provide a range of services across key areas intended to support the delivery of business data and insight across Central Laboratory & International (CL&I), confidently using appropriate business systems, software, and tools to ensure successful completion of all required tasks in support of the team and wider business. The role collaborates across global teams, guides SMEs, supports implementation and post-deployment optimization, and strengthens client-focused decision making through analysis, feedback, and strong stakeholder engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Product Ownership & Business Partnership:
- Act as the primary liaison between the business and IT for new product/service development, product enhancements, and representing the needs and requirements of the business.
- Act as the primary liaison with the Business Implementation team for shared responsibility and oversight of the UAT, Training, and Quality docs workstreams as part of the development life cycle.
- Act as the lead SME with IT for any business-related questions and guidance regarding backlog prioritization and best practices.
- Act as a primary business resource, for both existing and future PANTHER services and capabilities, for client meetings, bid defenses, and presentations as well as intraorganizational questions for anyone outside of Lab Data Services.
- Support ongoing and future development of new services and enhancements to existing services/applications, including Proactive Reconciliation, Phase 2 and beyond for external/on-demand data delivery via API, AURA development and discovery, DT4 retirement, and PRADA development/enhancements (including scheduling and processing tools to manage PANTHER transfers as well as CHEETAH, TIGER, and ZEBRA module integration).
Operations & Technical Leadership:
- Provide day-to-day support to team members by addressing and resolving operational and technical queries, while ensuring effective knowledge transfer to enhance team competency and self-sufficiency.
- Drive process improvements through active participation in template development, standardization initiatives, and identification of efficiency opportunities across workflows.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including IT, Informatica, and Data Management (DM) teams, to identify process gaps, facilitate issue resolution, and ensure seamless operational execution.
- Conduct detailed investigations of process, system, or data-related issues; perform root cause analysis and develop, implement, and monitor Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
- Support, guide, and mentor Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) by providing functional expertise, coaching, and assistance in addressing complex operational challenges.
- Participate in the review and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) to ensure compliance, accuracy, and alignment with current processes and best practices.
- Execute ad hoc assignments, special projects, and business-critical activities as delegated by management, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
Data Enablement, Quality & Governance:
- Assist in the Research and Development activities for identifying new data sources, collecting, managing, analysing, and utilizing data across various functions and departments within the company for the Business Data Technology and Insight team.
- Assist in the maintenance, security, access and evolvement of the internal data repository (SQL), for the Business Data Technology and Insights Team, in line with validated IT requirements.
- Proactively assist in the communication and collaboration with IT on all programs / projects intended to drive towards the overall Business Data Strategic data vision.
- Proactively assist in the creation and maintenance of documentation for data enablement & quality processes.
- Liaise closely with Labcorp Data Insight colleagues to ensure feedback loops are in place around any data issues.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Data Quality initiatives, including data quality checks, data cleaning, data enrichment, and normalization efforts.
- Assist in the provision of data to support actionable oversight in the identification of potential issues with new Data Quality Framework Checks.
- Assist the team to integrate Data Quality Controls into business and technical processes.
- Assist in the review and maintenance of the system health, creating relevant KPI's and metrics for reporting purposes, which include a clear definition and criteria of data quality, and key data measurements.
- Assist in the development and application of data quality and compliance policies, sharing results from quality inspections to build awareness of opportunities for improvements.
- Assist in data quality programs through a set of improvement projects identified through data quality assessments.
- Assist in the process to make sure there is no breakage in the ongoing data flow to ensure quality, productivity and performance are maintained to a high standard.
- Liaise closely with Labcorp Data Governance colleagues to oversee the development and maintenance of data governance policies and procedures, including data security and privacy policies.
- Ensure team level Data Governance policies and procedures are in place and adhered to across the team.
- Assist in the identification and prioritization of opportunities for improvements to existing processes and procedures, to enhance speed, accuracy and quality of the product.
- Demonstrate support for continuous improvement within the team by contributing to ongoing training and development. In addition, participate in job shadowing, process and system training initiatives, and any interdepartmental development opportunities, as applicable.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- 5 or more years’ experience preferably supporting operations in data management
