Technical Lead / Solution Architect – AI-Assisted Software Delivery
BizTech Fusion is hiring for one of their clients for an experienced Technical Lead / Solution Architect to support a federal government program.
Location: Reston, VA / Washington, D.C.
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 2–3 days per week onsite
Experience: 8+ years of software engineering experience, including technical leadership experience

Position Overview
BizTech Fusion is seeking a Technical Lead / Solution Architect with strong hands-on software engineering experience and a background in cloud-native development, AWS, CI/CD, and technical leadership.
This is a technical leadership role requiring someone who can guide sprint teams, make technical and design decisions, maintain code quality, mentor developers, and translate enterprise architecture standards into practical team-level implementations.
Key Responsibilities & Technical Expectations
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to software engineering teams.
- Design and develop modern cloud-native software solutions.
- Work hands-on with AWS services and cloud technologies.
- Lead technical and design discussions within Agile sprint teams.
- Translate architecture standards and principles into team-level technical decisions.
- Conduct and oversee code reviews and ensure software quality standards.
- Support and improve CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
- Mentor developers and provide technical guidance on architecture and implementation.
- Evaluate and leverage AI-assisted developer tools to improve software development productivity and quality.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, product teams, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
- Analyze complex technical problems and develop effective solutions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proven experience in a Technical Lead, Solution Architect, or similar technical leadership role.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS/cloud-native development.
- Experience with CI/CD and modern DevOps practices.
- Experience leading technical/design decisions within Agile sprint teams.
- Strong experience with code reviews and software quality practices.
- Ability to translate architecture standards into practical implementation decisions.
- Experience mentoring software engineers and technical team members.
- Experience with AI-assisted software development/developer tooling.
- Federal Government or comparable large-enterprise experience preferred/required as applicable.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

U.S. Citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain an SEC Public Trust Clearance are mandatory requirements.
Candidates must be able to work onsite 2–3 days per week in Reston, Virginia or Washington, D.C
