Job Description

The Principal Data Operations Analyst is responsible for ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and operational efficiency across business processes. The role manages complex data requirements, investigates critical data issues, and delivers meaningful insights to support informed business decisions.

Acting as a bridge between business, operations, and technical teams, the role translates requirements into practical solutions, drives process improvements, and supports successful project delivery. The analyst also serves as a Subject Matter Expert, promotes data quality best practices, and coaches associates and peers to strengthen team capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Data Management & Quality

  • Maintain accurate, complete, consistent, and accessible data.
  • Implement quality controls and resolve data inconsistencies with relevant stakeholders.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and actionable insights to support business decisions.

Process & Project Management

  • Optimize workflows to improve quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead or support data-related projects, ensuring timely and successful implementation.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and translate business requirements into operational solutions.
  • Coach associates and peers while collaborating effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.

Core Focus

  • Ensure trusted, high-quality data is available and effectively used for operational and business decision-making.
  • Connect business requirements with practical data and process solutions while driving continuous improvement.
  • Provide subject matter leadership, stakeholder support, and capability development across data operations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of experience in data operations, data analysis, or a related field.
  • Strong Excel, data visualization, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
