You will be:
- provisioning and configuring the US AWS region using Infrastructure as Code while mirroring the existing EU setup,
- designing and managing a new Aurora PostgreSQL cluster, including backups and region-specific KMS keys,
- extending CI/CD pipelines to support multi-region deployments and ECR image replication,
- ensuring observability parity across regions using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Statuspage,
- implementing operational access controls and least-privilege security models,
- verifying data residency and ensuring no data paths leak between the US and EU environments,
- building and supporting the US analytics pipeline using AWS Glue, Redshift Serverless, and QuickSight,
- conducting failover and disaster recovery testing, supporting penetration testing, and preparing runbooks and handover documentation.
Your profile:
- strong experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer working with AWS,
- practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making in software delivery,
- hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and multi-region AWS environments,
- strong knowledge of AWS services (including Aurora PostgreSQL, ECS/Fargate, EC2, ALB, CloudFront, S3, CloudWatch, KMS, Secrets Manager, and ECR),
- experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation,
- understand AWS security principles, IAM, access controls, least-privilege models, and data residency requirements,
- experience with disaster recovery, failover testing, and defining RPO/RTO requirements,
- experience with AWS data and analytics services such as Glue, Redshift, or QuickSight,
- understand observability, monitoring, and operational reliability practices,
- experience supporting security assessments or penetration testing and remediating findings,
- comfortable working with shared, multi-tenant, region-partitioned architectures,
- strong documentation and communication skills, with the ability to create clear runbooks and support technical handovers,
- fluent English (at least B2 level).
Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.
