Plans, monitors and manages internal projects from initiation through completion. Secures required resources and uses formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks and changes. Manages projects to ensure on-time completion according to specifications and within budgeted costs. At the higher levels, incumbents manage large multifaceted projects; at lower levels, incumbents may be concerned with clearly identifiable elements or functions within a larger project. Typically incumbents matched to this function are working towards or have achieved certification in project management.

What you will do

  • Acts as a top-level specialist in project management, providing experience-based guidance and mentorship to support successful project execution.
  • Adapts project management methodologies and best practices to meet the unique needs of each project and ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
  • Advises project teams and stakeholders on project management principles, practices, and approaches to enhance project outcomes and mitigate risks.
  • Applies highly-developed project management skills to effectively plan, execute, and monitor complex projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Approves project plans, budgets, and resource allocations, authorizing project initiation and ensuring adherence to project governance and standards.
  • Benchmarks project performance against industry standards, best practices, and key performance indicators, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving excellence.
  • Checks project deliverables, milestones, and timelines to ensure timely and accurate project completion, providing guidance and support to project teams as needed.
  • Coaches project managers and team members, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to enhance work area project management skills and contribute to key professional growth.
  • Consults on project management practices, processes, and tools, collaborating with stakeholders to establish effective project management frameworks and ensure successful project outcomes.

Candidate may reside anywhere in the US. Eastern or Central time zone preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification.
  • PMP or lean six sigma certification preferred

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$67,900.00 - $182,549.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
