Full description
Build the shared foundations and operational platform powering Autorola
At Autorola Group, we're transforming how the global automotive industry buys, sells, values and manages vehicles through digital products and data-driven solutions.
We're looking for an experienced Product Manager to establish and lead Product Platform, combining Group-wide shared foundations with the operational platform supporting Autorola Marketplace.
Within the new Autorola Product Foundation, you will build shared capabilities from the ground up while evolving Marketplace's operational workflows across auctions and vehicle sales.
As each capability is introduced, you will lead the transition of corresponding business-unit functionality without disrupting customers or operations. If you're excited by platform thinking and company-wide impact, we'd love to hear from you.
About us
The Autorola Group is a global leader in online vehicle remarketing, automotive IT solutions and business intelligence for the used vehicle market.
Through Autorola Marketplace, Autorola Solutions and Indicata, we help manufacturers, leasing companies, fleet owners and dealers buy, sell and manage vehicles more efficiently using technology, data and digital solutions.
Your role
As Product Manager for Product Platform, you'll own the strategy, roadmap and outcomes for Autorola's shared Product Foundation and Marketplace's operational platform. The role reports to the Chief Product Officer and works cross-functionally with Product Design and Engineering.
The Group-wide foundation scope includes sign-in and SSO, customer and user provisioning, roles and access, subscriptions, invoicing and enterprise integrations. Marketplace scope covers workflows for auction administration and operation, sales handling and aftersales. You will decide what should become reusable Group capabilities and where Marketplace needs purpose-built workflows, creating a coherent experience across complex customers, products, contracts and markets.
You'll need to understand both the internal teams that configure, sell, support and operate our products and the customers who depend on simple, reliable administration. Success is measured through adoption and improved customer and administrative outcomes—not feature output.
What you'll be doing
You'll be responsible for establishing and evolving Autorola's shared Product Foundation and Marketplace operational platform, including:
- Defining the vision, strategy, roadmap and measurable outcomes for the Product Platform domain.
- Understanding customers, Marketplace operations and internal teams across Autorola Group to identify common needs, meaningful differences and the right level of standardisation.
- Turning customer insight and business needs into coherent shared models, operational workflows and platform priorities.
- Leading migration from corresponding business-unit capabilities and fragmented Marketplace tools without disrupting customers, commercial operations or critical workflows.
- Deciding which capabilities should become reusable Group-wide foundations and where Marketplace needs purpose-built workflows.
- Defining and tracking outcomes such as provisioning time, subscription and invoicing accuracy, Marketplace workflow efficiency, adoption and retirement of duplicated capabilities.
- Working with Product Design and Engineering while aligning Marketplace Product Managers, Commercial, Finance and Operations across the Group.
- Owning the coherent evolution of Marketplace's operational platform across auction configuration and operation, administration, sales handling and aftersales.
Who are we looking for
We're looking for someone who can find the common product underneath considerable organisational complexity—and bring people with them as the foundation is built and adopted.
You likely have:
- A strong product-management track record, including ownership of a complex shared platform, enterprise product or capability used across several product areas.
- A strong working understanding of APIs, integrations, data models, identity and access, enabling you to make sound product decisions with Engineering and Architecture.
- Experience building a greenfield product or platform capability and leading the migration or consolidation of existing solutions.
- The ability to understand complex B2B customer structures, user provisioning, entitlements, subscriptions and billing—and translate them into clear product direction.
- Experience with complex operational or workflow-based products, where shared platform capabilities must support specialised business processes and established ways of working.
- A data-driven approach to product discovery, prioritisation and measurable outcomes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to align teams across business-unit and functional boundaries.
Experience with product foundations, identity and access, customer administration, subscription management, billing or enterprise integrations is a strong advantage.
What success looks like
Within your first 12–18 months, you'll have:
- Established the Product Platform domain, cross-functional team and a focused Group-wide strategy and roadmap.
- Completed discovery across customers, products and business units and aligned stakeholders around a coherent foundation model and initial priorities.
- Delivered the first shared capabilities and Marketplace workflow improvements, with measurable gains in selected customer, administrative and operational journeys.
- Established clear measures for provisioning time, subscription and invoicing accuracy, Marketplace workflow efficiency, platform adoption and user satisfaction.
- Completed the first migrations from business-unit capabilities and fragmented Marketplace tools without disrupting customers or operations, retiring at least one duplicated capability.
- Established a continuous discovery and measurement cadence with Product Design, Engineering and Product Managers across Autorola Group.
