UX designer
Fortive Halland, Norway
Appliances, Electrical, and Electronics Manufacturing · 10,001+ employees
About the role
You will manage the full UX design process, including research, prototyping, and usability testing for software projects. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to build design systems and ensure consistent product language.
What they look for
Requirements
Candidates must have at least 4 years of experience in digital product design and expert-level proficiency in Figma. A degree in a relevant field such as interaction design or human-computer interaction is required.
Full description
Fluke Health Solutions
At Fluke Health Solutions, we envision a future where medical technology just. works. In practice, that means building products and solutions that improve the uptime and safety of medical equipment and protect the staff who work with it. If you want to change how we approach medical safety, this is the place to be.
The Job
As a UX designer at Fluke Health Solutions, you will work across the full design process in our software projects: early research, concept sketching, prototyping, usability testing, and handoff to development.
Day to day, you will work with product managers, product owners and developers, to make sure user needs and technical requirements meet early rather than late. That means talking to users, facilitating workshops, creating and testing prototypes, as well as documenting interaction patterns so design decisions rest on something real.
You will help build out our design system and shape a product language that stays consistent as our portfolio grows.
Who You Are
You care about getting the details right, in how something works and in how it looks. You work close to engineering and know enough about software development to have a useful conversation with the people building what you design.
You are a Figma expert. Components, variants, variables, prototyping, and files other people can work in without asking you how. You prototype your ideas before commiting to them. You follow how AI tools are changing design work and are willing to experiment with them in your own process.
You explain your design decisions clearly to people with different backgrounds, whether that is a developer, a product manager, or a clinical end user. You can run complex projects independently and keep colleagues in other countries in the loop.
What We Are Looking For
- A degree in interaction design, UX design, human-computer interaction, or a related field. We care more about your portfolio than the name of your programme.
- 4+ years in digital product design, UX design, or a similar role.
- Solid Figma skills and experience with prototyping tools for testing interactions.
- A good understanding of design systems and how to build components that scale.
- The ability to present and defend design decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- An interest in how AI tools can support design and research work.
- Fluency in English. Swedish is an advantage.
- Openess to travel, 2-3 times per year
- It is also a plus if you have:
- Some experience with front-end code (HTML, CSS, React, or similar). This is not a coding role, but building your own prototypes and talking concretely with developers makes a difference.
- Experience from MedTech, healthcare, or another regulated product environment.
What We Offer
You will join a UX team working on designing products that make a real difference. Our office is in Nya Hovås, close to the ocean and within easy reach of Gothenburg, with around 100 colleagues across R&D, Operations, and Marketing.
The role is based in Nya Hovås together with the rest of the UX team, but also involves working closely with colleagues in North America (Chicago area). We offer genuine room to grow, and we take our work seriously without taking ourselves too seriously. The role is primarily onsite, with hybrid flexibility subject to team agreement.
When applying, please also submit your portfolio for our review. Please ensure you apply with an English CV due to the international nature of our team.
