Job Description The Senior Principal Business Intelligence Analyst role is a key part of the Inc. Headquarters Strategy and Corporate Development (S&CD) Team. In this role, you will work closely with the Inc. HQ and Segment teams to collaborate and lead quantitative analytic efforts. These efforts will include analyzing external markets, competitors, trends, and our portfolio to enable the business to make data-driven strategic decisions and influence our future growth, as well as analyzing internal data and processes to drive efficiencies. You will also develop market segment analyses and business landscape assessments. You will partner with the VP, Strategy and Planning to guide our Integrated Business Plan process and other key areas such as Inc. strategic initiatives, and partner with the VP, Corporate Development to support mergers and acquisitions activities as needed.

In addition, the role may include leading an Inc. Competitive Intelligence (CI) Working Group, maintaining oversight of market segmentation across Inc., and guiding senior stakeholders across the business.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:• Conduct competitive intelligence analysis to inform business leaders decision making.

  • Develop market sector, segment, and sub-segment data analytics in support of strategic portfolio analysis and strategy development.
  • Provide oversight of market segmentation across Inc. to ensure segmentation frameworks and insights are aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Lead the CI Working Group to drive cross-segment alignment, collaboration, and strategic decision-making.
  • Develop market analyses related to key growth areas across the Inc. portfolio.
  • Leverage influencing skills to guide leaders and teams toward strategic decisions and outcomes based on clear analysis of information and trends.
  • Contribute to S&CD strategic initiatives.
  • Support mergers and acquisition activities.
  • Guide Integrated Business Plan process.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills • Possesses a Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of proven experience with developing competitive intelligence analysis and assessing the impact on business strategy experience OR a Master’s with at least 8 years of proven experience with developing competitive intelligence analysis and assessing the impact on business strategy.

  • Proven ability to conduct quantitative data analytics, interpret the data and provide strategic insights.
  • Aerospace and Defense Market Analysis experience.
  • Subject matter expertise related to external markets and competitive landscape in which BAE Systems Inc. operates.
  • Experience with large data models, data analysis, and visualization tools such as Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau, Janes, Excel Pivot Tables, SQL Server, etc.
  • Business or functional experience across similar Aerospace and Defense contractors.
  • Ability to collaborate seamlessly across teams and business units.
  • Demonstrated ability to use influencing skills (vs direct management) to drive outcomes.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills • Program Management Professional Certification.

  • Experience with Predictive Analytics and Artificial Intelligence.
  • Software coding experience (e.g. DAX, SQL, Python, R etc.)
  • Experience with acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Ability to secure Security Clearance.

Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $134640 - $228888

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
