Network Analyst / Senior Systems Engineer II
Memphis, TN – NHQ
Ducks Unlimited, Inc., the continent’s leader in waterfowl and wetlands conservation, is seeking a Network Analyst / Senior Systems Engineer II to join our Information Systems team at National Headquarters in Memphis, TN.
Required Skill Sets:
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, routing, DNS, VPN, and wireless networking.
- Experience administering firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and WAN/ISP services.
- Experience supporting Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and Azure environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across endpoints, applications, printers, network access, and infrastructure.
- Ability to document technical processes, diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Security-focused approach to infrastructure, systems administration, and user support.
Preferred Skill Sets:
- Zscaler administration experience.
- Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Purview experience.
- VMware and Hyper-V administration, migration, and lifecycle management experience.
- SFTP administration and PGP encryption experience.
- Microsoft Teams Phone administration experience.
- Mac support experience.
- Jira administration experience.
- PCI compliance experience.
- Network performance monitoring and intrusion detection experience.
- Familiarity with AI and large language model technologies.
- Familiarity with nonprofit work environments is a plus.
Network Infrastructure:
- Administer enterprise firewall platforms, including configuration, firmware maintenance, security policy management, and lifecycle planning.
- Design, deploy, and support wired and wireless networking solutions across corporate and remote offices.
- Manage WAN, ISP, and telecommunications services, including circuit implementations, upgrades, disconnects, and vendor escalations.
- Troubleshoot network performance, connectivity, routing, DNS, VPN, and wireless issues.
- Maintain a strong understanding of TCP/IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, routing, and network troubleshooting principles.
Cybersecurity Operations:
- Investigate and respond to security alerts generated by MDR, SIEM, endpoint protection, DLP, and Microsoft 365 security platforms.
- Collaborate with external security providers and internal stakeholders during security investigations.
- Review suspicious activity, user behavior alerts, email threats, and data protection incidents.
- Assist with risk assessments and security reviews of new applications and technologies.
Systems & Infrastructure Operations:
- Monitor enterprise infrastructure and respond to operational alerts.
- Support Windows server infrastructure, cloud-connected services, and hybrid environments.
- Participate in maintenance windows and infrastructure upgrades.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, inventory records, and operational procedures.
- Apply knowledge of data backup principles, recovery objectives, and supporting backup hardware and software.
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills across endpoint, printer, application, network access, and infrastructure issues.
- Manage and support VMware and Hyper-V environments, including migrations and lifecycle maintenance.
- Administer IIS, SSL/TLS certificates, and related web services.
- Manage SFTP administration and PGP encryption.
- Administer Microsoft Teams, including Teams Phone, calling policies, and related support functions.
- Administer Microsoft Intune.
- Administer Microsoft Purview.
Project Leadership:
- Lead infrastructure modernization projects, including network refreshes, firewall replacements, and connectivity initiatives.
- Coordinate technical vendors and service providers.
- Create project plans, timelines, implementation documentation, and status reports.
- Assist with budgeting, hardware lifecycle planning, and technology evaluations.
Communication Skills:
- Communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical users, leadership, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work after hours as needed for maintenance windows, upgrades, incident response, and emergency support.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree and at least five years of relevant professional experience; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Relevant technical certifications are a plus.
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 40 pounds.
