The Network & Infrastructure Architect/Engineer will support the design, operation, security, monitoring, and modernization of a complex healthcare integration ecosystem supporting EHR interoperability and enterprise infrastructure services.

This individual will serve as a hands-on architect and engineer responsible for cloud networking within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), hybrid connectivity, observability, logging, and infrastructure monitoring. The role will partner closely with integration, security, platform, and identity teams to ensure reliable, secure, and compliant healthcare data exchange.

As the Oracle Health - Network & Infrastructure Engineer, you will: 

Key Responsibilities  

  • Design and maintain OCI virtual cloud networks, subnets, routing frameworks, security controls, and connectivity patterns supporting critical HL7 and FHIR integrations while implementing comprehensive telemetry, monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions across infrastructure and application layers.
  • Support infrastructure assessments, network modernization efforts, operational readiness activities, architecture documentation, vendor coordination, and technical recommendations supporting both day-to-day operations and future-state enterprise transformation initiatives.
  • ​Success in this role will require strong expertise across cloud networking, federal cybersecurity requirements, healthcare interoperability, enterprise monitoring platforms, Zero Trust principles, and large-scale healthcare technology environments.

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline. Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analysis and data-presentation skills 
  • Working understanding of SAFe Lean-Agile principles 
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust 
  • Position requires up to 75% travel 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Relevant experience in a VA healthcare setting 
  • 5+ years of supporting Oracle Health/Cerner solutions 
  • Extensive VHA and VA Medical Center operations experience, with working knowledge of the VISN structure 
  • Familiarity with substantive Veterans health programs (Patient-Centered Medical Home, Mental Health, Telehealth, Women's Health, Specialty Care, Geriatrics and Extended Care)

The estimated base salary for this job will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs.
