Affinity Water is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Capital Delivery team. In this role, you will lead the safe and successful delivery of complex capital investment projects that improve network resilience, support regulatory compliance and protect the environment.

The Role

As a Project Manager, you will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of capital projects from inception through to completion. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants and stakeholders, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

You will manage all aspects of project delivery, including scope, programme, cost, risk, quality and governance, ensuring projects achieve their objectives while delivering value for both customers and the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage capital projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
  • Deliver projects safely, on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.
  • Manage project programmes, costs, risks, scope and change control.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate key stakeholders.
  • Administer NEC4 contracts and support procurement activities.
  • Monitor contractor performance, project progress and financial forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.

About You

We're looking for a proactive and collaborative project professional who thrives in a complex delivery environment. You will be confident managing competing priorities, building strong stakeholder relationships and driving successful project outcomes.

Essential experience and skills:

  • Proven experience delivering capital projects within utilities, infrastructure or construction.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and project governance.
  • Experience managing project budgets, programmes, risks and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Good understanding of CDM Regulations and health and safety requirements.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable qualifications and experience:

  • PRINCE2, APM PMQ, PMP or equivalent project management qualification.
  • IOSH, SMSTS or NEBOSH certification.
  • Experience delivering projects within the water industry.
