Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced DevOps / Cloud Engineer to design, build, and support cloud-based environments that enable the delivery of modern digital products. The successful candidate will be responsible for cloud infrastructure, automation, platform operations, security, observability, and CI/CD implementation while supporting both containerized and non-containerized workloads.

Cloud Infrastructure & AWS

  • Design,

provision, and manage AWS infrastructure including:

  • VPCs
  • Subnets
  • Security

Policies

  • ECS

  • Architect

multi-account AWS environments using AWS Well-Architected Framework principles.

  • Manage

AWS cost optimization strategies including:

  • Reserved

Instances

  • Savings

Plans

  • Rightsizing
  • Implement

and maintain:

  • CloudTrail
  • AWS

Config

  • GuardDuty
  • Security

Hub

  • AWS

Organizations SCPs

Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Terraform Cloud)

  • Develop,

maintain, and refactor Terraform modules and configurations.

  • Manage

Terraform Cloud workspaces, remote state backends, variable sets, and team access policies.

  • Enforce

IaC standards including:

  • Module

versioning

  • Input/output

conventions

  • Documentation
  • Implement

drift detection and remediation workflows using Terraform Cloud run tasks and policy-as-code solutions.

  • Lead

Terraform code reviews and mentor team members on best practices.

Configuration Management (Ansible)

  • Author

and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and collections.

  • Manage

Ansible inventories across dynamic cloud environments.

  • Integrate

Ansible automation with CI/CD pipelines.

  • Utilize

Ansible Vault for secure secrets management.

  • Develop

repeatable, idempotent automation that reduces manual effort and configuration drift.

Container Platform Administration

  • Operate

and administer Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS (ROSA) clusters.

  • Perform

cluster upgrades, node scaling, and add-on management.

  • Define

and enforce:

  • RBAC

controls

  • Network

Policies

  • Security

Context Constraints (SCCs)

  • Manage

Operators, Helm charts, and Kustomize overlays.

  • Ensure

cluster security alignment with organizational standards.

CI/CD Pipelines

  • Design

and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application delivery.

  • Implement

GitOps workflows using ArgoCD.

  • Integrate

security scanning and auditing tools into deployment pipelines.

  • Promote

shift-left testing practices.

  • Maintain

pipeline-as-code standards with peer-reviewed definitions.

Security & Compliance

  • Embed

security controls throughout infrastructure and deployment lifecycles.

  • Implement

secrets management solutions.

  • Enforce

least-privilege access controls.

  • Support

vulnerability management processes.

  • Participate

in incident response and remediation activities.

Observability & Reliability

  • Build

and maintain observability solutions using AWS CloudWatch.

  • Define

and monitor SLOs and SLIs.

  • Lead

incident response activities and root cause investigations.

  • Produce

and maintain operational documentation including runbooks and architectural decision records.

General Technical Requirements

  • Experience

with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Experience

supporting complex Linux environments including:

  • CentOS
  • Ubuntu

with web technologies such as:

  • LAMP

Must-Have Skills

  • Extensive

experience working with containerized and non-containerized workloads.

  • Strong

expertise designing and building Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

  • Advanced

experience developing and maintaining Ansible playbooks and automation.

  • Deep

AWS infrastructure engineering experience.

  • Experience

operating Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS (ROSA).

  • Experience

designing and supporting enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
