Job Summary

Join our Software R&D organization as a Staff DevOps Engineer and play a key role in accelerating the delivery of innovative software solutions that improve lives. In this highly visible position, you will help build, automate, and optimize the infrastructure and toolchains that power our software development lifecycle, enabling teams to deliver cloud-native microservices and Android/iOS applications with speed, quality, and reliability. We're looking for a collaborative, forward-thinking engineer who is passionate about modern DevOps practices, continuous improvement, and creating scalable solutions that drive meaningful business impact.

We are looking for a self-motivated, Staff Engineer to join the DevOps team within the Software Research and Development organization. Responsible for design, build, and maintenance of software development infrastructure supporting product development and distribution that tie to the company’s strategic imperatives.

The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced engineer with demonstrated success deploying, configuring, and integrating modern software application life cycle management (ALM) tools to support software product development projects, including Cloud-based microservices with Android/iOS applications.  

Responsibilities:

· Build and maintain continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

· Apply T-Shape IAC Multi-Cloud expertise and Application Deployment

· Define, implement, and maintain software configuration management plans (SCMP) supporting product development.

· Write software and scripts to automate SCM workflows (i.e. E2E pipelines, DevSecOps, gating, and compliance as code)

· Drive world-class engineering tools for developer experience to enable productivity insights, execution, quality and test automation to manage end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC).

· Contribute to continuously improve product quality and software development process efficiency by identifying, evaluating, and deploying new tools.

· Architect and scale CI/CD workflows

· DevOps coaching and support.

· Perform testing, troubleshooting, and bug fixing on Linux and Windows operating systems to address code and deployment errors.

· Performs other duties as required.  

Minimum Requirements:

· Minimum 6+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer, deploying and configuring CI/CD pipelines, software configuration management, build, continuous integration, and application life cycle management (ALM) tools

· Extensive cloud development, management, and sustainability experience (i.e. AWS, Azure DevOps); deep knowledge of services (i.e. S3, WAF, Networking, Security, IAM, Storage)

· Proven experience as a software engineer or architect

· Experienced with building CI/CD pipelines to execute across the entire application deployment cycle

· Proficiency in Docker, Git/GitHub, Artifactory, Ansible, Terraform, AWS, Azure DevOps, and Kubernetes

· Deep experience in writing automation using one or more common scripting/programming languages such as Java, Ruby, Python, Perl, HTML, cmake, YAML, JSON, C, C++ or JavaScript; to automate and integrate environments in the continuous integration pipeline

· Experience integrating security practices into all stages of the software development lifecycle

· Analytical & problem-solving skills, ability to communicate ideas clearly

· Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a strong focus on teamwork

· Experience in agile methodologies (e.g., SCRUM, XP, TDD) and DevOps  

Preferred Skills/Competencies:

· Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science

· Extensive experience building end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, incorporating DevSecOps practices and compliance-as-code principles.

· Proficiency in writing CI/CD-based code for infrastructure (IAC) provisioning and application deployments, ensuring quality checks with Terraform and CloudFormation

· Extensive experience writing production test automation code to run in a CI/CD pipeline

· Comfort working in Linux-based and MacOS command line environments (system administration skills are a plus).

· Proven experience practicing code reuse and defect remediation

· We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer who is passionate about operational excellence through automation and engineering processes.

· To address code and deployment errors, perform testing, troubleshooting, and bug fixing on Linux and Windows operating systems.

· Ability to work with other DevOps engineers and present ideas fluently and confidently

· Comfortability demonstrates the ability to auto-generate and develop clear and concise documentation.

· We need a senior resource with little training/ramp time to hit the ground running.

· Experience coaching or creating Dojo's.

Compensation & Benefits:

For U.S.-based positions only, the annual base salary range for this role is $167,200.00 - $250,750.00

This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
