The oneworld Digital team is responsible for driving the alliance’s digital strategy by building and managing a portfolio of products and services that enable our employees and member airlines to deliver value at scale. With stewardship of our digital experience, we deliver measurable benefits and a more seamless end‑to‑end customer journey.
The oneworld Digital team works in close partnership with member airline digital teams, strategic partners, and trusted suppliers to deliver both internal tooling and external services for a modern, scalable ecosystem across the oneworld value chain.
About this role
The Product Manager is responsible for maximizing the value of our digital products and platforms, ensuring they support the broader oneworld alliance strategy, deliver measurable benefits to member airlines, and enhance the oneworld customer and employee experience. This role is about clear vision and delivery of leadership across a multi‑stakeholder environment, with the ability to formulate ideas into tangible product plans and deliver in a multi-stakeholder environment.
In this role, you will be driving oneworld´s key digital products, including the oneworld website and Mobile Application, Round-the-world booking engine, journey and lounge information tools, AI utilization, and modern retailing development. To be successful, you will have experience driving product delivery acceleration through AI tooling, while ensuring product quality meets and exceeds required standards. This role will have you work closely with internal and external stakeholders to manage the product backlog, steer the product development and assist our customers in extracting most value of our products. The Product Manager ensures these platforms deliver consistent, high‑quality experience across member airlines and remain aligned with alliance standards and the Digital & Technology roadmap.
Key Accountabilities:
- Product Vision & Strategy: Define and communicate a clear product vision aligned with alliance priorities; translate insights and product needs into a focused, achievable roadmap.
- Backlog & Prioritizations: Own and prioritize the backlog using value‑based logic; write clear user stories and manage customer, airline, technical and regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate inputs across internal teams, member airline digital groups and delivery partners; reconcile diverse needs into unified decisions.
- Delivery Leadership: Lead agile delivery with engineering, design, and vendors; provide daily clarity, unblock progress, and accept work against standards and definitions of done.
- Data‑Driven Decisions: Use analytics, customer insights, and airline feedback to shape the roadmap, guide optimizations and validate product assumptions.
- AI-first Products: Crafting clear, actionable strategy together with our product engineers to build AI native products and services where applicable.
- Value Realization: Ensure each product delivers measurable value; track KPIs, quantify impact and report benefits for customers and member airlines.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to alliance design, security, data and architectural standards; manage risks and dependencies across platforms.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify enhancements to usability, performance, interoperability and delivery processes and drive ongoing optimization.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager for digital platforms, ideally within aviation or travel, and complex multi‑stakeholder environments.
- Strong understanding of digital experience design, API‑driven systems, and insights‑guided prioritization.
- Experience with AI assisted and enabled product delivery; utilizing AI tooling for product discovery and definition, prototyping, design, and build.
- Demonstrated ability to lead delivery teams and vendors in an agile environment.
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate complexity into clarity for diverse audiences.
- High ownership, with the ability to balance strategic direction and day‑to‑day decisions.
- Experience with airline digital ecosystems (e.g., PSS, Offer and Order, servicing, loyalty, operational tooling).
- Familiarity with alliance or multi‑brand operating models and governance.
- Knowledge of content platforms, mobile app delivery and customer journey orchestration.
