Full description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Project Implementation Manager based in United States.

This role leads end-to-end software implementation projects for clients in highly regulated industries, serving as the primary project lead and client liaison. You will guide projects from initial planning and requirements through configuration, validation, go-live, and post-launch transition. The position combines project management, client engagement, cross-functional coordination, and quality-focused delivery. You will manage scope, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and deliverables across multiple concurrent workstreams. Success requires strong judgment, organization, communication, and the ability to balance client needs with contractual and operational requirements. This is a remote, full-time W2 temporary contract with opportunities to work with distributed teams and travel to client sites as needed.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead client implementations from business development handoff and kickoff through requirements confirmation, planning, configuration, validation, training, go-live, closeout, and transition to ongoing support.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, establish expectations, provide project updates, facilitate meetings, and maintain clear documentation throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain project plans covering milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, action items, resources, and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Coordinate implementation engineers, configuration and validation specialists, account management, business development, technical support, accounting, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Gather and maintain client requirements, support project scoping and estimation, and ensure appropriate internal reviews and client approvals are completed before work proceeds.
  • Monitor project scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality, and overall health, escalating risks early and recommending practical corrective or preventive actions.
  • Ensure implementation activities align with Statements of Work, client commitments, internal procedures, and applicable service-level requirements.
  • Coordinate the preparation, review, approval, and delivery of implementation and validation documentation, including plans, specifications, test results, and project summaries.
  • Facilitate configuration workflows, configuration freezes, change control, production readiness, release activities, and project closeout.
  • Review project time records and applicable invoices, communicate budget status, and support change-order or work-stoppage decisions when scope or funding requires intervention.
  • Deliver system administration training and product demonstrations, while contributing to training materials, documentation, and instructional videos.
  • Maintain working knowledge of software products, implementation methodologies, and the regulated life sciences environment.
  • Coordinate upgrades, respond to client questions, and manage the transition from implementation into post-go-live support and account management.
  • Maintain accurate project, customer, and support records using platforms such as project management, ticketing, and collaboration systems.
  • Advocate for client needs while balancing contractual scope, quality expectations, delivery constraints, and business requirements.
  • Travel to client locations as needed and perform other related project responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, business, life sciences, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • At least five years of experience in SaaS implementation, client services, customer support, project management, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent client projects with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and stakeholder communication.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience leading client meetings, presentations, demonstrations, or training sessions.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, prioritization, follow-through, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to coordinate, delegate, and influence work across cross-functional teams without direct supervisory authority.
  • Ability to learn complex software quickly and explain technical functionality clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues across multiple time zones and consistently maintain the schedule associated with the selected opening.
  • PMP, CAPM, or comparable project management certification is preferred.
  • Three or more years of experience with enterprise SaaS, IaaS, or PaaS solutions in the life sciences sector is preferred.
  • Experience with regulated GxP environments and software implementation or validation deliverables is preferred.
  • Knowledge of enterprise software configuration, requirements management, validation, change control, and release or upgrade processes is advantageous.
  • Experience with project management, ticketing, and collaboration platforms such as Wrike, JIRA, Freshdesk, or comparable tools is preferred.

Benefits

  • Hourly compensation of $35–$40 USD, with final pay determined based on qualifications, skills, and professional experience.
  • Full-time W2 temporary contract for an initial 12–18 month period, with potential for extension to a permanent position.
  • Medical and sick-time benefits available for W2 temporary employees.
  • Fully remote work arrangement for candidates based on the East Coast of the United States.
  • Opportunities to work on software implementations supporting pharmaceutical, medical device, and other regulated environments.
  • Exposure to complex SaaS implementation, validation, project management, and client-facing responsibilities.
  • Client-site travel as needed, providing opportunities for direct customer engagement and implementation delivery.
