We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Analyst to join our Valuations team in Toronto. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for maintaining valuation models for the infrastructure and private equity platforms to support the quarterly valuation and forecasting process. Other responsibilities include performing portfolio analytics and conducting scenario analysis to support the Finance and Investment Teams, as required.

As a valued member of the OMERS Investment Finance and Valuations Team, you will play a critical role in developing portfolio analysis that supports strategic decision-making. Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Supporting the quarterly portfolio analysis to assess performance trends, identify key drivers, and provide actionable insights for senior leadership. 
  • Maintaining and enhancing financial models that support strategic planning and scenario analysis across infrastructure and private equity portfolios. 
  • Collaborating with Investment Teams to deliver timely, data-driven insights that inform decision-making and optimize portfolio outcomes. 
  • Supporting the development of annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and accurate financial planning. 
  • Contributing system enhancements and process improvements, including the implementation of portfolio management tools and automation initiatives. 
  • Participating in special projects and ad hoc analyses, providing expertise and innovative solutions to financial challenges. 

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Financial & Technical Expertise: Experience in valuation, accounting, finance, or a related field, with general knowledge of valuation methodologies, financial modeling, financial statements, and financial analysis. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced level) and the ability to work with financial models.
  • Analytics & Problem Solving: Excellent analytical, quantitative and critical thinking skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to assess complex information, identify key insights, and support informed decision-making.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey financial and analytical concepts to stakeholders. Collaborative team player who builds effective relationships across teams and functions.
  • Adaptability & Execution: Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Demonstrated initiative, resilience, and commitment to continuous learning and professional development. 

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • CBV, CPA, or CFA designation or enrollment in the CBV, CPA or CFA program.
  • Prior exposure to the asset management industry.

  

This posting is for an existing vacancy. 

The expected salary range for this position is $86,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year. 

You may also be eligible to receive an annual Incentive Award pursuant to our Short-term Incentive plan and our Long-Term Incentive plan (if applicable), and to participate in our group benefits and retirement plans – details on these elements of compensation are included within OMERS & Oxford offer letters.
