Full description
Finance should be more than just reporting.
GROUP BUSINESS CONTROLLER & BI ANALYST
Combine Finance with BI, automation and AI and help shape how LEMAN uses data to make better business decisions.
At LEMAN, we believe Finance is about more than reporting numbers. It is about creating transparency, supporting better business decisions and continuously improving how we use data and technology across the organisation.
We are looking for a Group Business Controller & BI Analyst who wants to combine hands-on business controlling with BI development and help shape the future of Finance.
Based at our headquarters in Greve, Denmark, you will report to the Head of Controlling and work closely with colleagues across Finance, IT and the wider business.
This is a hybrid role with an approximately equal focus on business controlling and BI. You will work with budgets, forecasts and performance analysis while also building Power BI solutions, improving reporting processes and exploring new ways to use automation and AI.
What the position looks like:
- Prepare and follow up on budgets, forecasts and financial performance.
- Analyse results, identify deviations and turn data into clear business insights.
- Lead monthly performance reviews with local logistics directors.
- Support Group functions with financial analysis, reporting and decision support.
- Build and develop reports and dashboards in Power BI.
- Take ownership of the continued development of BI solutions within Finance.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial analysis, reporting and processes through automation and AI.
- Translate business needs into practical reporting and BI solutions.
- Act as the link between Finance, IT and the wider business.
What we hope you will bring:
- A relevant degree, such as cand.merc., HD or an equivalent qualification.
- Approximately 3–5 years of relevant experience within controlling, financial analysis or BI.
- A solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and management reporting.
- Practical experience with Power BI and SQL.
- An interest in automation, AI and emerging technologies.
- The ability to turn data into clear insights and practical business solutions.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with financial, technical and operational stakeholders.
- A curious and proactive mindset with the ability to build relationships across the organisation.
- The motivation to take ownership and drive initiatives forward.
- Fluency in Danish and strong written and spoken English skills.
A little about the role: You will be responsible for controlling activities related to LEMAN Logistics, covering our warehousing operations in Denmark, Norway, the United Kingdom and the United States. Working closely with local logistics directors, you will lead monthly performance follow-ups and help translate financial results into clear business insights.
You will also support Group functions, including People & Culture, Group IT and Group Commercial, with financial analysis, reporting and decision support.
This is not a role where you simply maintain existing reports and follow established processes. You will have the opportunity to shape how Finance works with data, BI, automation and AI and see your ideas develop into solutions that are used across the organisation.
You do not need to be an IT specialist. What matters is that you understand Finance, enjoy working with data and are comfortable working hands-on with technology. You do not have to meet every requirement. If you have a strong Finance background and a genuine interest in BI, technology and improving how things work, we would like to hear from you.
Why join LEMAN? Joining LEMAN means becoming part of an international logistics company with ambitious growth plans and a collaborative culture built around our promise: We Always Find A Way.
You will become part of an experienced Finance team where you can exchange ideas, learn from colleagues and challenge existing ways of working. Your role will be highly visible across the organisation, giving you the opportunity to build a broad international network and make a tangible impact.
We offer flexible working from home by agreement, an 11% employer-paid pension contribution with a 2% employee contribution, company-paid internet and mobile phone, a canteen and lunch scheme, insurance coverage, fitness facilities, massage treatment, regular social activities and the opportunity to take 1–2 months of fully paid sabbatical leave.
That is enough about us – now we would love to hear about you. If you are curious, you can see how we hire over here.
- Enjoy a benefits package designed with you in mind: 25 days of annual leave (plus bank holidays), comprehensive medical coverage, pension and delicious meals. We can’t wait to tell you more in person!
- Flexibility: We understand that life is unpredictable, which is why we offer flexible working arrangements, where possible, to help you achieve a healthy work-life balance. You'll have the freedom to structure your workday in a way that suits you best – whether that means working from home, adjusting your hours, or taking time off when you need it.
- Sabbatical: Need a break from the daily grind? We offer sabbatical opportunities to take extended time off to recharge, explore your passions, and come back to work feeling refreshed and inspired.
- Investment in Professional Development: We're committed to helping our people grow and reach their full potential.
- Global Travel Opportunities: We're a global organisation with offices around the world, which means that there are plenty of opportunities to travel and experience new cultures.
- Social and Company Events: We believe that work should be enjoyable, which is why we organise regular social and company events to bring our people together.
