This is a senior product leadership opportunity focused on owning the end-to-end development of a core consumer product area. The role combines customer empathy with rigorous analytics, experimentation, and disciplined product execution. You’ll tackle ambiguous problems, translate insights into priorities, and lead products from discovery through launch and scale. You’ll also leverage AI tools to accelerate decision-making, execution, and customer impact.

Accountabilities:

  • Define the vision and product strategy for an assigned product area in partnership with senior leadership, ensuring alignment with customer needs and broader business objectives.
  • Own the product roadmap from problem discovery and prioritization through development, launch, iteration, and scaling.
  • Use analytics, user research, market trends, and customer insights to identify high-impact opportunities, features, optimizations, and experiments.
  • Develop clear product specifications outlining problems, objectives, proposed solutions, decision rationale, and measurable success criteria.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, design, data science, legal, compliance, operations, marketing, and finance to deliver and scale products.
  • Monitor key product metrics, evaluate outcomes, and continuously refine the customer experience based on data and learnings.
  • Balance growth opportunities with risk, compliance, and operational considerations, clearly communicating tradeoffs to stakeholders.
  • Apply AI tools and emerging technologies to improve product development efficiency, customer experiences, and business outcomes.
  • Act as a strategic product leader who can navigate ambiguity, build alignment, move initiatives forward with urgency, and take ownership of results.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of product management experience, ideally within consumer fintech, banking, payments, or mobile consumer products.
  • Demonstrated success building, launching, and scaling consumer-facing products from initial concept through growth, with measurable business impact.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and experience with tools such as BigQuery, Looker, Mixpanel, or comparable product and business intelligence platforms.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools in day-to-day product work, with the ability to demonstrate how they have improved speed, quality, or outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence, align, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong customer empathy and a demonstrated commitment to creating products that deliver meaningful consumer value.
  • Proactive, outcome-oriented approach with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and comfort operating in ambiguous environments.
  • Experience in software engineering, design, analytics, or technical product management is a plus.
  • Experience working in regulated environments or with banking, lending, payments, growth, risk, or fraud products is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in an early-stage or high-growth startup environment is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience.
  • Ability to work remotely within the United States or from San Mateo, California, with occasional travel for team offsites and important meetings.

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation package with stock options.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Company-paid life insurance.
  • 401(k) plan with Safe Harbor company matching.
  • Flexible vacation policy and paid company holidays.
  • 12 weeks of paid parental leave with flexible return-to-work options.
  • Company-provided technology and equipment package.
  • Remote-first work environment with flexibility to work from home.
  • Opportunity to contribute to products designed to improve financial literacy and financial outcomes for the next generation.
  • Collaborative, fast-paced environment with significant ownership and opportunities to influence product strategy and growth.
