Benefits
Full description
We’re seeking a UX Designer who is passionate about designing intuitive, human-centered experiences for AI-native business applications. You will play a role in designing key features and customer journeys, translating complex AI capabilities into proactive, adaptive, and trustworthy experiences. You will partner closely with product, engineering, and science to deliver high-quality customer experiences. You will balance user needs, technical feasibility, and business goals while contributing to scalable design patterns and evolving best practices in AI-driven experiences.
You should be comfortable working in AI-accelerated workflows, leveraging modern AI design tools, rapid prototyping environments, and “vibe coding” approaches to quickly explore, test, and refine ideas. We value designers who are builders, those who can move from concept to interactive artifact rapidly and iteratively.
This is an opportunity to deepen your craft, expand your strategic thinking, and help shape the next generation of AI-powered solutions.
As part of the AWS Applied AI Solutions organization, we have a vision to provide business applications, leveraging Amazon's unique experience and expertise, that are used by millions of companies worldwide to manage day-to-day operations. We will accomplish this by accelerating our customers' businesses through delivery of intuitive and differentiated technology solutions that solve enduring business challenges. We blend vision with curiosity and Amazon's real-world experience to build opinionated, turnkey solutions. Where customers prefer to buy over build, we become their trusted partner with solutions that are no-brainers to buy and easy to use.
Key job responsibilities * Bring concepts to life through a range of mediums, prototypes, motion, video, high-fidelity visuals, and emerging tools including AI-driven design and prototyping platforms. * Contribute across all phases of the design and innovation lifecycle, from discovery and ideation to prioritization, refinement, and crafting narratives that make complex ideas approachable, especially when working with intelligent systems. * Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders (including senior leadership, tech, product, and science) to align on user needs, system capabilities, and opportunities where AI can enhance the experience. * Work confidently in ambiguity, using both human insight and AI-assisted exploration to generate and evaluate divergent concepts—and find the signals worth going deeper on. * Stay informed on evolving customer needs, industry shifts, and technology trends—including the growing role of AI—to help shape design strategies that are forward-looking and grounded in real value. * Synthesize large volumes of inputs—user research, product signals, technical constraints, and system behaviors—into clear, meaningful, and actionable experience frameworks. * Collaborate closely within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a culture of feedback and experimentation, while also working independently to move ideas from sketch to production. * Communicate design direction, strategy, and outcomes clearly and persuasively, leveraging storytelling, visuals, and—when relevant—interactive demos or AI-generated simulations.
Basic Qualifications: - 1+ years of design experience - Have an available online portfolio - Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar - Experience in usability testing
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in a highly agile environment - Experience working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
