Position Summary

Do you have a passion for data analysis and process optimization? At CVS Health you can put your skills and interests to work by joining our Financial Change Order (FCO) group.  An individual who joins our team will be responsible for building and maintaining business rules and processes to ensure client change requests are financially assessed before implementation. The team’s primary goal is to ensure proper financial controls and improve CVS Caremark client level financial performance by placing proper controls around implementation of programs or changes to a client’s benefit or formulary design. 

 

The Financial Change Order Sr. Analyst will… 

  • Work under the guidance of Sr. Manager or Manager for evaluating potential financial impact of a plan design change using existing models or by working with internal partners. 
  • Support the development of new tools user acceptance testing.
  • Access data via Excel and tools such as SQL/ SAS and use financial change order models to model projected rebate guarantee impact analysis. 
  • Coordinate the efforts across company teams that can include Sales, Analytic Consulting Services, Clinical Operations, Underwriting, and other departments to ensure proper controls are in place to review changes to a client’s benefit design, formulary, or implementation of a product. 
  • Provide consultative support to internal stakeholders on analysis including but not limited to sales, underwriting and underwriting analytics teams. 
  • This role will be supporting the client specific analyses and discussions and provide consultative support on additional ad-hoc reporting and analysis. 
  • This individual will be responsible on interacting with external stakeholders and client directly and have the ability to articulate the results of the analysis in a clear, concise manner and meeting the expected deadlines of requested analysis for this client. 

Required Qualifications 

  • 2 years professional experience in data analytics, finance, pricing or process improvement role or equivalent combination of professional experience and education  -OR -
  • 1 year professional experience in data analytics, finance, pricing, or process improvement role including 1+ year working with PBM data or PBM financial analysis. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience in Microsoft Excel-based analysis and SQL 
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and critical thinking skill sets are required.  
  • Ability to story tell the findings in clear, concise way when articulating the findings of the analysis to sales, underwriting and other stakeholders.  
  • Prior experience or knowledge of PBM industry or pharmaceuticals is preferred. 
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage tight deadlines and competing priorities. 
  • Prior experience working across many different groups within an organization. 
  • Prior experience designing, implementing, and optimizing new business processes. 
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with experience presenting to various business groups. 
  • Bachelor's Degree related to finance, mathematics, operations, statistics, actuarial science, data science, economics or other data related fields preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$46,988.00 - $112,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
