Quality Assurance Line Specialist
Responsibilities:
- Review and ensure compliance to the factory Food Safety Plan (HACCP)
- Partner with shift supervisors and plant management to promote Food Safety/Quality Culture and enhance Food Safety awareness through daily coaching and scheduled training
- Ensure compliance to all company policies & procedures pertaining to Food Safety and Quality
including but not limited to: Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Sanitation & Housekeeping, Equipment & Facility Maintenance, etc.
- Enforce GMP compliance through coaching and other appropriate means for:
Production supervisors, factory employees, contractors and visitors
- Ensure compliance to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI) including proper documentation (completion, control, and retention)
- Conduct Food Safety and Quality testing as necessary- for example, but not limited to, swabbing, metal detector challenges
- Initiate, investigate, communicate, and follow-through on corrective actions for non-compliances. Maintain a corrective action tracking system to ensure non-compliances are resolved in a timely manner
- Investigate consumer complaints
- Conduct internal factory inspections-such as GMP, Food Safety, and Quality system audits
- Manage QA records including but not limited to environmental sampling program, pest control program for the factory
- Other responsibilities as needed
Skills/Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree, or equivalent work experience - 2 years minimum in a production environment
- Experience working in a food manufacturing environment-1 year minimum
- Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) certification and SQF Practitioner preferred
- Knowledge of HACCP required
- Demonstrates sound technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Basic statistical skills preferred
- Proven, reliable self-starter, able to work effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to successfully partner with team members and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite-Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and writing skills
Tuesday-Saturday 7am-3:30pm
