Overview

The Analyst, Business Applications is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing business applications that enable efficient business operations. This role works closely with business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to understand business requirements, provide application support, troubleshoot issues, and implement system improvements. The analyst ensures that business applications are aligned with organizational goals and operate effectively to support day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide functional and technical support for business applications.
  • Monitor application performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal IT teams to address system incidents and service requests.
  • Manage application upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and system requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Participate in system design discussions and recommend best practices.
  • Support application implementation, enhancement, and integration projects.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate system changes.
  • Develop and maintain application documentation, user guides, and procedures.
  • Assist in change management activities and user communication.
  • Serve as a liaison between business users, IT teams, and external vendors.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to end users.
  • Ensure user satisfaction through effective support and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure applications comply with organizational policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain proper access controls and user permissions.
  • Support audits and compliance reviews related to business applications.

Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of experience in business application support, business analysis, or application management.
  • Experience supporting ERP, HRMS, Workforce Management, CRM, Finance, or other enterprise applications.
  • Experience working with vendors and managing application-related service requests and incidents.
  • Experience with enterprise applications such as Kronos/UKG, SAP, Oracle,CRM, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
  • Relevant certifications in Business Analysis, IT Service Management, or enterprise applications.
