Job Summary:
DS DeepSource GmbH is seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to join our multinational partner. As a DBA, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of our databases. You will work closely with other IT professionals, developers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth database operations and support our mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor the performance, reliability, and availability of databases.
- Develop and implement security measures to protect the databases from unauthorized access or data loss.
- Design, implement, and maintain database systems and schemas.
- Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Plan and execute database backups and disaster recovery procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, such as performance bottlenecks, data corruption, and connectivity problems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA).
- Strong knowledge of database management systems such as Oracle, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience with database administration tools and monitoring systems.
- Familiarity with database security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator) are a plus.
