Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead strategic projects primarily supporting the global operations strategy of the Life Science Solutions Group. The role may also support other groups or divisions as business needs arise.

In this role, you will lead assigned projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring they are delivered on time and achieve the intended outcomes. You will work with cross-functional project teams, subject matter experts, functional leaders, business stakeholders, and divisional teams across a global organization.

You will have a high degree of autonomy to achieve project goals and objectives while ensuring that each project follows the BTO project management process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate, plan, and implement assigned projects using standard work and established project management processes
  • Lead cross-functional project teams, which may include colleagues in remote locations
  • Build project plans supported by relevant analysis, timelines, risks, and implementation plans
  • Prepare and present project updates and report-outs to leadership
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and achieve the desired business outcomes
  • Build strong working relationships with business leaders and divisional teams
  • Support project approval and implementation phases by driving alignment and efficiency
  • Coordinate subject matter experts and functional leaders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Manage project scope, schedule, risks, and stakeholder expectations
  • Support global projects through travel when required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science, technical, or business field

or

  • At least 3 years of equivalent relevant work experience
  • Proven understanding of project management tools and methodologies
  • Ability to lead projects in a complex manufacturing environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate across departments, business unit leadership, and Thermo Fisher divisions
  • Ability to influence others and partner effectively across functions
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to build trust, credibility, and positive professional relationships with peers and management
  • Fluent English
  • Ability to travel globally up to 25% of working time, as required to support the project lifecycle

  • Experience leading projects across a global organization
  • Experience managing projects in a complex manufacturing environment
  • Experience with significant capital investment projects
  • Experience establishing new sites, supporting product transfers, or leading consolidation projects
  • Experience working with remote or globally distributed project teams

Compensation

The monthly salary range estimated for this position based in Lithuania is €3 441,67–€5 166,67.
