Job Description Summary

The Senior Software Engineering Manager demonstrates accountability for functional, business and broad company objectives. In the role, you will be responsible for leading the Software development team which designs CT Medical Devices in GE Healthcare. And also as RTE handle the releases of CT products. In this role, you will utilize your cadence knowledge, experience and technical expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and help contribute and influence business strategy.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Be responsible for managing the work deliverables of the cadence software
  • Build a world class software development team to consistently deliver complex software platforms and research projects of varying size and duration.
  • Provide day to day work direction for team members engaged in projects and delivery.
  • Drive a continuous learning culture to help guide continuous improvements.
  • Actively pursue new methods and practices to increase productivity
  • Utilize project management tools to track progress and recognize key risk areas for specific implementations
  • Operate as a engaged leader who serves as a subject matter and technical expert for assigned programs and development initiatives
  • Manage couple of small agile scrum teams (up to 15 direct reports).
  • Manage multiple software projects and play RTE role for the BLR CT cadence
  • Demonstrate leadership through team leadership/knowledge in platforming components
  • Provides mentoring, coaching, feedback and developmental opportunities to direct reports
  • Demonstrate an ability to communicate the technical knowledge through project management/contributions to product strategy.
  • Act as the thought leader and help shape the roadmap for the team effectively
  • Prepare and present program execution reports to leadership
  • Review technical design and interfaces to effectively drive the cadence feature development to closure
  • Collaborate with systems, hardware and software teams across other poles within CT Software to drive synergy and closure of the cadence features
  • Lead CoE for service and test automation for cadence and create sustainable roadmaps for the team

Education Qualification:

  • Bachelor' s in engineering or computer science with strong background in software development.

Required Skills:

  • A minimum of 12+ years of professional experience in Software Development Application Development.
  • Experience in complete Product Development life cycle, from requirement generation to product release. At least couple years of experience as RTE in handling big teams in delivering cadence-based products. Working with global teams and systems teams.
  • Hands-on experience with integrating all imaging platform components and handling platform integration.

Desired Characteristics & Technical Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, Software Design Patterns and Java coding principles
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with good interpersonal skills
  • Hands-on experience in GenAI for enhancing the productivity and driving efficiency is an advantage
  • Hands-on experience in utilizing Spring Framework (Core, MVC, Integration and Data)
  • Hands-on experience with web development using HTML5, Java Script, jQuery, CSS. Also, experience in implementing Java OSGi modules and using an OSGi container.
  • Experience with Angular and test automation is a big plus
  • CT Domain knowledge is an added advantage
  • Experience in managing teams functionally

  • Experience in building scalable and highly available distributed systems
  • Expert in breaking down problems and estimate time for development tasks
