Positions in this function include those who monitor and operate computer and peripheral equipment: review, analyze, and modify programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for large-scale computer systems. Evaluate system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Provide expertise in software systems programming, operating software applications, consulting on complex projects/existing applications, timely completion of scheduled jobs, and overall operating systems. Also includes overseeing environments’ health and facilitation of high severity incidents to improve the state of service availability and continuity. Develop processes and activities that focus on restoring service after an incident occurs. Document all hardware, application, facility, etc. problems and take corrective action as required.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • AI user will help support Enterprise Distributed Compute systems running Windows Operating system and underlying hypervisor on VMWare ESXi, VMWare suite of products
  • System Administration and Operations support with Day-2 tasks using Broadcom VMWare ESXi, vCenter, VCF9x, vROPs, vRLI and Microsoft Windows 2016 and latest version, Microsoft Fault Tolerant Clusters on SQL Always On
  • Working in stipulated shifts, attending P1/P2 war rooms and providing quick resolution minimizing unplanned downtime, attending planned activities like Change requests and Change tasks, researching root cause analysis and identifying a permanent solution for every repeat issues, use AI tools to detect anomaly, coordinating with hardware vendors like HPE, Dell and Park Place to restore systems by replacing failed hardware parts Working with Microsoft, Broadcom and Azure to report, diagnose issues and provide permanent fixes to customers
  • Analyzes and investigates
  • Provides explanations and interpretations within area of expertise

Required Qualifications:

  • College IT graduate
  • Certification in VMWare ESXi Administration
  • Alternate Hypervisors (MS Hyper V and Red hat OpenShift) and Cloud Admin (GCP, AWS, Azure)
  • Experience on scripting tools i.e. Python, PowerShell etc. will be an added advantage
  • Experience in deploying using VMware HCX (migration tool)
  • Experience and working knowledge of Windows GPO and AD administration tasks
  • Experience deploying converged and hyper-converged solutions such as VMware Cloud Foundations, VSAN, VxRAIL, or similar technologies
  • Knowledge and skills on VMWare NSX
  • Knowledge of iSCISI
  • Knowledge of using AI tools to accomplish quick and thorough analysis, remediation and performance improvement
  • VMware SRM and Recovery Plan knowledge
