100% Remote (India) | IT System Administrator | Fintech SaaS Firm
About the Role
Eltropy's IT & Security team keeps a globally distributed workforce productive and secure while operating in a SOC 2-audited, compliance-driven environment. We're looking for an IT System Administrator to own day-to-day IT operations for our India team and to help move broader IT initiatives forward.
This is a hands-on role for someone who takes full ownership of their work. You'll run endpoint management, identity administration, new-hire onboarding, and end-user support, while partnering with IT & Security colleagues across regions on projects that improve how the whole company operates. The ideal candidate is extremely detail-oriented, accountable, and proactive - someone who thrives on owning problems end to end. Because this role supports users and data across regions, strong judgment around data handling, access control, and compliance is essential.
Who You Are:
- Extremely detail-oriented. You catch the small things, double-check your work, and don't let items slip through the cracks.
- Accountable. You take ownership of your tasks end to end and follow through without needing to be chased.
- Proactive. You anticipate problems, raise them early, and look for ways to improve rather than waiting to be told.
- A driver. You're comfortable owning day-to-day operations and pushing IT initiatives forward alongside the team.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Own new-hire onboarding and offboarding: account and access provisioning, device preparation, and a smooth day-one experience.
- Manage laptop procurement, imaging, shipping, tracking, and asset lifecycle for the India team and distributed staff.
- Provide responsive macOS and Windows end-user support via the ticketing system (Zendesk), resolving issues within SLA.
- Administer Microsoft Entra ID: user and group lifecycle, authentication, Conditional Access, and role-based access control.
- Manage the macOS fleet in Kandji and the Windows fleet in Microsoft Intune: enrollment, configuration, app deployment, and patch/update management.
- Administer Google Workspace: user provisioning, group and shared drive management, and collaboration tools.
- Support SSO and SCIM provisioning across SaaS applications; troubleshoot identity and access issues.
- Perform basic networking tasks: configuring and troubleshooting access points, switches, and routers.
- Support security and compliance operations: access reviews, endpoint hardening, MFA enforcement, and SOC 2 evidence collection.
- Run day-to-day IT operations for the India team while contributing to and helping drive company-wide IT initiatives and projects.
- Develop and maintain clear documentation, runbooks, and SOPs for IT systems and processes.
- Stay current on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to reliability, security, and efficiency.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field - or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on IT/systems administration experience.
- Strong macOS and Windows troubleshooting across hardware, software, and cloud services.
- Proficiency administering Microsoft Entra ID (users, groups, authentication, Conditional Access, access control).
- Proficiency with Kandji MDM for macOS device management (enrollment, configuration profiles, software deployment, patching, compliance).
- Demonstrated ability to own new-hire onboarding end to end and to handle laptop shipping, imaging, and asset logistics for a distributed workforce.
- Strong written and verbal English communication, with a habit of documenting work.
- Availability to overlap with other regions' working hours as needed.
Additional skills that are a plus
- Exposure to SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar control frameworks and access reviews.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune for Windows management.
- Familiarity with SCIM provisioning, SSO integrations, and identity governance.
- Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Bash, or similar).
- Experience administering Zendesk or a comparable ITSM/ticketing platform.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator, Google Workspace Administrator, CompTIA Network+/Security+).
