About Netchex

Netchex is a leading cloud-based Human Capital Management (HCM) platform trusted by thousands of small and mid-sized businesses across the U.S. We centralize the entire employee lifecycle — from recruiting and onboarding to payroll, time tracking, and benefits administration — into a single, intuitive, mobile-friendly system. Our mission is simple: make HR and payroll easier for the businesses that power America’s workforce.

We’re a remote‑first team of builders, problem‑solvers, and people‑focused innovators — and we’re just getting started.

Summary of the Role

Security doesn't happen by accident — it's built, piece by piece, by people who care about getting the details right. As an Information Security Engineer I at Netchex, you'll get hands-on experience from day one: helping scan and secure code before it ships, hardening endpoints across the company, and supporting our cloud security efforts on Azure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the security of the application development lifecycle by assisting with the operation of code scanning tools.
  • Help implement and manage endpoint and network security tools under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Assist in the secure configuration of cloud services for web applications and corporate systems.
  • Respond to and help resolve security-related infrastructure issues across both product and office environments.
  • Gain hands-on experience securing both a SaaS product and a corporate IT environment.
  • Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps) and use application security testing (SAST/DAST) tools.
  • Deploy and manage security solutions for endpoints (EDR), email, and networks.
  • Secure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud-native security controls.

What We're Looking For

  • 1-3 years of experience in an information security, network, or systems administration role.
  • Foundational knowledge of application security, cloud infrastructure, and corporate network principles.
  • Familiarity with security technologies such as firewalls, endpoint protection, and IDS/IPS.
  • Basic scripting experience with a language like PowerShell or Python.
  • Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and cloud security concepts, preferably within Microsoft Azure.

Here's what Defines Us

  • Win Together — One team. One mission. No silos.
  • Deliver Results — No excuses. Just results.
  • Raise the Bar — Better today. Stronger tomorrow.
  • Decide and Drive — We don’t wait for perfect. We move.
  • Bring the Energy — Positivity fuels performance.
