Responsibilities: Builds and codes applications and/or modules in React to move a legacy system from Java to React/Ruby on Rails in the VA.gov environment. Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards. May assist the UI/UX designers in designing graphical user interface (GUI) to meet the specific needs of users. Prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Develop the front end of a new system modernization in React. Maintain high standards of excellence within the team by establishing good practices and habits. Assistin the collection and documentation of user’s requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans. Assist BA team in preparing reports, manuals, operational procedures and other documentation on the status, operation, and maintenance of the project. Assist with the creation of and implementation of a new integration process that integrates the newly built system with its two main integration partners. Integrate with all necessary applications, working alongsidethose systemdevelopment team. Proactively communicate and coordinate with various internal and external project stakeholders. Analyzes detailed system factors, including input and output requirements, information flow, hardware and software requirements, and alternative methods of problem resolution. Participates in code reviews and Sprint Reviews to represent reviewed work for adherence to contract deliverables and program specifications. QualificationsRequirements: 3-4 years of work experience Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technical related discipline Excellent communication skills Analytical and investigation skill Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and supervision. Experience with Agile Methodology and Scrum Processes Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle. Experience with code versioning and project management tools. (e.g.Jira,GitHub, Slacketc.) Demonstrated experience in a remote work environment. Additional Mandatory Requirements Eligibility to work for any employer in the US Ability to provide proof of residence in the US for the last 5 years.
