We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Data Scientist

In this role, you will:

  • Take measures to provide delivery of Data Management services to the Global Businesses and Functions
  • Enable Global Businesses & Functions with technical capabilities to analyse, manipulate and report data efficiently.
  • Responsible for ensuring that master and meta-data used by the Global Businesses & Functions is deployed consistently.
  • Devise strategies for the design and delivery of technical solutions compliant with data management regulation.
  • Lead transaction screening analysis and tuning function in line with group sanctions screening policies.
  • Understand the end-to-end operating model, including system interaction maintain SOPs to effectively manage the tuning process across all LOB’s & products (Payments/Trade/Securities).
  • Enable and guide the Line management in initiatives for improving Regional & Global hit rates.

To be successful you will:

  • GenAI & Larege Language Models fundamentals: strong grasp of transformer architectures, tokenisation, prompting patterns, function calling, and common failure modes (hallucinations, grounding, context limits).
  • Larege Language Models app engineering: hands-on building RAG/agentic workflows, tool use, embeddings, vector databases, re-ranking, and evaluation-driven iteration.
  • Classical Machine Learning depth: supervised/unsupervised learning, feature engineering, model selection, bias–variance trade-offs, and solid intuition for when simpler models beat deep learning.
  • MLOps / LLMOps: reproducible pipelines (CI/CD), model registry, experiment tracking, automated testing, monitoring (drift, data quality), and safe rollout strategies.
  • Data engineering competence: SQL mastery, data modelling, ETL/ELT, working with large datasets (Spark/Databricks or equivalent), and building reliable training/serving datasets.
  • Python + core libraries: strong Python (clean code, packaging), plus practical experience with PyTorch/TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Hugging Face ecosystem, and API integration.
  • Evaluation & metrics: design of offline/online evaluation, A/B testing, LLM-specific evals (factuality/groundedness, toxicity, retrieval quality), and error analysis.
