Technical Lead React & .NET

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Lead React & .NET based in India.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for the end-to-end delivery of React and .NET software projects. You will combine architecture, coding, code review, delivery management, and team leadership to ensure high-quality outcomes. Working with distributed engineering teams and international clients, you will act as a trusted technical authority throughout the engagement. You will guide 4–8 developers and QA engineers while remaining actively involved in complex technical work. The role requires strong ownership of delivery schedules, technical quality, security, scalability, and maintainability. You will also contribute to Agile planning, client communication, release readiness, and continuous improvement. This is a fully remote position in India supporting clients across United States time zones.

Accountabilities

• Own the technical delivery of React and .NET projects, covering solution architecture, component design, API contracts, data models, authentication, integrations, and technical decision-making.

• Contribute hands-on production code for complex or high-risk areas while establishing engineering standards for the wider team.

• Lead code reviews, enforce coding and testing standards, provide constructive technical feedback, and maintain a high-quality, maintainable codebase.

• Ensure non-functional requirements such as performance, security, accessibility, scalability, and maintainability are addressed throughout delivery.

• Identify and manage technical debt, maintaining visibility of remediation priorities and incorporating improvements into sprint planning.

• Lead sprint planning, estimation, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives where required.

• Break requirements into well-defined stories and technical tasks with clear acceptance criteria, dependencies, and realistic delivery commitments.

• Monitor sprint progress and delivery risks, identify slippage early, and develop practical recovery plans involving scope, sequencing, or capacity.

• Maintain accurate project reporting, including delivery status, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, change requests, and schedule confidence.

• Manage release readiness, including go-live checklists, cutover planning, rollback provisions, deployment coordination, and post-release support.

• Lead and develop a team of 4–8 developers and QA professionals through mentoring, pairing, design discussions, structured feedback, and capability development.

• Support recruitment through technical interviews and contribute to performance discussions, development plans, and capability assessments.

• Serve as the technical point of contact for international clients, translating business requirements into technical solutions and communicating technical decisions clearly.

• Lead technical discussions and demonstrations, present solution options and recommendations, and manage scope and change-control conversations.

• Maintain proactive communication across time zones and build client confidence through transparent risk management and consistent follow-through.

• Ensure compliance with project governance, documentation, quality gates, sign-offs, time recording, and audit requirements.

• Own the engagement’s test strategy in collaboration with QA and maintain disciplined CI/CD practices, automated builds, quality gates, environment management, and reliable deployments.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional software delivery experience using React and the .NET stack, including at least 2 years in a Technical Lead, Lead Developer, or comparable leadership position.

• Proven experience leading engineering teams to deliver software against committed schedules, ideally across multiple projects or client engagements.

• Hands-on experience working directly with international clients, particularly US-based stakeholders, within consulting, outsourced delivery, or product engineering environments.

• Strong experience across the full Agile software development lifecycle, including requirements, architecture, development, testing, release, and post-go-live support.

• Advanced knowledge of React, including hooks, component composition, state management solutions such as Redux, Zustand, or React Query, and front-end performance optimisation.

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with experience using modern development tooling and build pipelines.

• Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, component libraries, and front-end testing tools such as Jest and React Testing Library.

• Strong command of C# and .NET, including .NET 6 or later and ASP.NET Core, RESTful API development, and layered or clean architecture.

• Experience with Entity Framework Core or a comparable ORM and SQL Server or another relational database, including query performance optimisation.

• Practical cloud experience, preferably with Azure, covering application hosting, identity, storage, messaging, and related services.

• Strong Git and branching strategy knowledge, together with experience configuring CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent tools.

• Sound understanding of application security, including authentication and authorisation approaches such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT.

• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and guide teams while maintaining accountability, collaboration, and morale.

• Disciplined approach to estimation, dependency management, risk management, and schedule control in fixed-date delivery environments.

• Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to conduct technical discussions confidently with senior client stakeholders.

• Strong judgement, ownership, composure under pressure, and willingness to raise risks or delivery concerns early with practical solutions.

• Availability to work US hours on a sustained basis and participate in client meetings scheduled across US time zones.

• Reliable remote working setup, including stable high-speed internet connectivity and a professional environment suitable for client calls.

• Experience with microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, event-driven architecture, process automation, RPA, or integration-heavy enterprise environments is advantageous.

• Experience with Next.js, GraphQL, micro-frontends, or mobile application delivery is a plus.

• Relevant certifications in Azure, Scrum, or SAFe are desirable.

• Experience with formal PMO governance, presales, solution estimation, or technical proposal development is beneficial.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
