RINA is seeking a freelance/independent Engineering Manager to provide engineering leadership, technical governance, multidisciplinary coordination and assurance oversight across railway programmes, ensuring compliance with standards, programme requirements, approvals and assurance obligations.
The assignment is expected to run for a period of up to 24 months and will be delivered through a blended working model, comprising approximately 50% attendance in Ireland and 50% remote working, according to programme requirements.
The role manages engineering plans, design governance, technical approvals, change control, risk management and reporting, while coordinating multidisciplinary inputs and supporting issue resolution to enable safe, compliant and efficient delivery of major railway programmes.
Key Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent in Engineering, with at least 10 years’ railway engineering experience.
- Experience establishing and managing engineering governance, requirements management, technical assurance, design governance and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of engineering management plans, approvals, change control, coordination, reporting and technical risk management.
- Ability to coordinate engineering activities in line with standards, programme requirements, assurance processes, safety requirements and operational readiness needs.
- Experience across major railway programme environments, with strong communication, governance, technical leadership and problem-solving skills.#LI-FC1
