This role offers the opportunity to lead complex engineering and construction projects across large-scale energy generation facilities.You will oversee projects from pre-construction and contracting through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations.The position combines strategic project leadership with hands-on management of budgets, schedules, contracts, safety, and technical execution.You will coordinate multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams while keeping projects aligned with business objectives.Your expertise will directly influence capital allocation, project performance, operational improvements, and successful delivery.The role also provides significant exposure to senior leadership, contractors, technical stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.This is a strong opportunity for an experienced energy project professional who thrives in complex, safety-focused, and results-oriented environments.

Accountabilities:
- Project leadership: Manage engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and implementation activities for new energy projects and modifications to existing facilities.
- Pre-construction planning: Develop and manage design, procurement, and construction contracts while establishing project costs, schedules, scopes, and execution strategies.
- Project execution: Direct project engineers and construction site managers to ensure milestones are achieved safely, on schedule, and within approved budgets.
- EPC management: Lead the negotiation, administration, and oversight of engineering, procurement, and construction activities, addressing commercial and execution issues as they arise.
- Portfolio management: Provide owner's project management across multiple wind and thermal energy projects during implementation and construction phases.
- Team leadership: Lead multidisciplinary professionals providing technical expertise and project support throughout design, construction, commissioning, and operations.
- Executive reporting: Provide regular updates to senior leadership on project progress, budgets, schedules, risks, issues, and key decisions.
- Safety leadership: Promote a strong safety culture throughout project design, construction, and operational activities, with safety embedded into everyday decision-making.
- Financial management: Forecast and monitor capital spending across assigned projects, helping ensure effective use of budgets and alignment with business priorities.
- Technical due diligence: Support technical due diligence activities in collaboration with other departments and stakeholders.
- Operational support: Assist plant operations with process and facility improvements, equipment acquisition, breakdown analysis, and recommendations for corrective action.
- Continuous improvement: Establish feedback mechanisms, quality audits, and process-improvement practices that identify efficiencies and support strategic initiatives.
Requirements:
- Education and experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, combined with at least 10 years of experience in project engineering and construction of electric generation projects.
- Project management experience: At least 5 years of experience in project development or project management within the energy or related infrastructure sector.
- Energy project expertise: Demonstrated experience managing complex engineering and construction projects, ideally involving electric generation facilities such as wind or thermal projects.
- Contract expertise: Working knowledge of construction law, contracts, claims avoidance, insurance, and contract administration is preferred.
- Commercial skills: Strong negotiation, dispute-resolution, contract-management, budgeting, forecasting, and risk-management capabilities.
- Technical proficiency: Experience with tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Primavera P3, and Thermo-Flow GT Pro/GT Master.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, contractors, senior leaders, and other stakeholders.
- Leadership: Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, develop others, encourage collaboration, and create accountability for project outcomes.
- Problem solving: Strong analytical judgment and the ability to address project risks, operational challenges, and complex technical or commercial issues effectively.
- Adaptability: Comfortable managing changing priorities and complex environments while maintaining focus on safety, quality, schedule, and financial performance.
- Travel: Ability and willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time.
