The role will be based at Amneal pharmaceutical manufacturing plant at Ahmedabad and if required to move other locations outside Ahmedabad as per management instruction.
- Lead Electrical Engineering Activities: Manage the design, review, execution, commissioning, and maintenance of all electrical systems for the pharmaceutical plant.
- HT/LT Power Infrastructure: Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of 11 kV/66 kV substations, HT/LT yards, transformers, switchgear, and power distribution systems.
- Project Management: Lead electrical scope for capital projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring delivery within budget, schedule, and quality standards.
- Design Review & Optimization: Review electrical designs, drawings, load calculations, and system studies while driving cost optimization and operational efficiency.
- Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with electrical codes and standards (IEC, NEC, IS), grounding, LOTO, arc flash protection, and pharmaceutical industry regulations.
- Testing & Commissioning: Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance validation of electrical systems and equipment.
- Power Reliability: Ensure uninterrupted plant power by monitoring electrical parameters, maintaining HT/LT equipment, and minimizing downtime through proactive maintenance.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of electrical engineers and technicians while managing resources and cross-functional collaboration.
- Vendor & Contractor Management: Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and utility providers to ensure quality execution, timely delivery, and adherence to safety standards.
- Maintenance & Continuous Improvement: Conduct condition monitoring, root cause analysis (RCA), implement CAPA, and drive improvements in system reliability and energy efficiency.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate technical documentation, maintenance records, certifications, and provide regular performance and project status reports to management.
