Full description

We are looking for a Senior Native Mobile Developer based in Latin America to join a growing technology team building an innovative entertainment accessibility platform. The mobile application synchronizes translated audio with movies and other live entertainment experiences, helping Spanish-speaking audiences enjoy content in their preferred language.

You will develop and maintain native iOS and Android applications using Swift and Kotlin. This is not a cross-platform role; strong production experience with both native ecosystems is essential.

This is a full-time, long-term contract with an initial three-month trial period. You will collaborate closely with a Florida-based client and an English-speaking, distributed team, so reliable working-hours overlap and clear communication are important.

Responsibilities• Develop, enhance, and maintain native iOS and Android applications using Swift and Kotlin.

  • Deliver reliable mobile experiences for a large and active production user base.
  • Implement and maintain mobile security features, including device and application integrity checks, secure credential storage, biometric authentication, and certificate pinning.
  • Build and optimize location-based functionality using iOS and Android geo-fencing capabilities.
  • Diagnose production issues and improve application performance, stability, and security.
  • Contribute to technical decisions, architecture discussions, code reviews, and release planning.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Technology and other mobile developers.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and technical decisions clearly during regular team calls.
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and contribute directly to implementation without relying excessively on AI-generated solutions.
  • Support applications throughout their full lifecycle, from development and testing to deployment and ongoing maintenance.
  • +6 years of professional mobile development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with native Swift for iOS and native Kotlin for Android.
  • Proven experience shipping and maintaining production applications with large active user bases.
  • Practical mobile security experience with technologies such as:
  • Apple App Attest and DeviceCheck
  • Google Play Integrity API
  • Secure Enclave and Android Keystore
  • Biometric authentication
  • Certificate pinning
  • Experience implementing geo-fencing with CLLocationManager and the Android Geofencing API.
  • Solid understanding of mobile architecture, application lifecycle, performance optimization, testing, and release processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Advanced English communication skills; the team’s primary working language is English.
  • Based in Latin America with availability for meaningful overlap with Florida business hours.

Experience with entertainment, media synchronization, accessibility, audio, or location-aware applications is beneficial but not required.

  • Remote work from Latin America.
  • Collaboration with an established business and an experienced international engineering team.
  • Opportunity to work on a distinctive product that makes entertainment more accessible to Spanish-speaking audiences.
  • Meaningful ownership of production applications used by an active customer base.
  • Direct access to technology leadership and involvement in important technical decisions.
