Commercial Product Manager (Digital Banking – Niche Commercial Segments)
The Commercial Product Manager defines and executes product strategy for digital banking solutions tailored to specialized commercial segments, including title companies, homeowners’ associations (HOAs), commercial real estate firms, franchise operators, property managers, and athlete/artist management groups. This role combines deep market insight with strong product execution to deliver differentiated solutions that drive growth for financial institutions and their commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities
Market & Customer Insight
- Develop expertise across niche commercial segments and their unique banking, payments, and operational needs
- Conduct market research, client discovery, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities
- Monitor trends in commercial banking, including real-time payments, embedded finance, and automation
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and manage product strategy aligned to commercial segment needs and business goals
- Translate insights into product requirements and prioritized roadmaps
- Partner with Product Line Leadership to develop business cases and assess ROI
Execution & Delivery
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Architecture teams to deliver roadmap initiatives
- Drive capabilities such as payments (ACH, RTP, wires), user entitlements, account structures, and integrations
- Validate product direction through customer feedback and performance metrics
Go-to-Market & Commercialization
- Partner with Product Marketing to define positioning, messaging, and segment-specific value propositions
- Support sales enablement through demos, training, and collateral
- Contribute to pricing and packaging strategies to meet revenue and profitability targets
Performance & Lifecycle Management
- Define success metrics and measure product performance (adoption, revenue, customer satisfaction)
- Manage the full product lifecycle from concept through launch and optimization
Leadership & Collaboration
- Collaborate cross-functionally across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success
- Mentor Product Managers and Analysts
- Represent the organization as a subject matter expert in commercial digital banking
Qualifications
- 6+ years of product management experience in digital banking, fintech, or commercial banking
- Strong knowledge of commercial banking workflows, including payments (ACH, RTP, wires) and treasury services
- Experience with niche commercial segments (e.g., property management, title/escrow, franchise) preferred
- Proven ability to define strategy and deliver customer-centric solutions
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- Pragmatic Certified Level II (or higher) preferred
