Job Overview
Reporting to the Vice President of Qualico Communities , as the Financial Land Analyst you are responsible for managing, compiling, and auditing financial data to support decision-making on financial plans, project performance and cash flow management. This position requires an ability to think critically and to demonstrate a desire to form a strong land acquisition and development skillset foundation.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Facilitating the coordination of residential land development.
- Assisting in the development of proformas and other financial models for audit and verification purpose.
- Managing financial data integrity, compiling and auditing worksheets.
- Reviewing purchase and sale agreements and communicating relevant milestone information to Accounting and others within the organization.
- Monitoring market trends and preparing monthly reports for market key indicators and trends to facilitate existing and/or future developments.
- Supporting the development and preparation of regular joint venture reports to investment partners.
- Assisting in the annual cost-to-complete process. Monitoring and analyzing project performance variances.
- Supporting the analyses, forecasting and reporting of cash flow management. Preparing consolidated reports for operating and asset status.
- Obtaining and administering Letters of Credit for development projects. Ensuring compliance with loan terms and conditions.
- Analyzing and reporting on the division’s sales trends, lot inventory and absorption. Compiling and processing internal and/or external lot pricing data to assist in price setting.
- Conducting pre-event audits and complete corresponding documentation or due diligence on lot draws.
- Assisting the Controller with year-end audit items related to land development.
- Supporting and promoting continuing improvement of analytical tools, financial models, methods, reports and processes.

Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of business experience with a minimum 1 year of experience in financial analysis.
- Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.

Working Conditions
Primarily works in an office setting during regular business hours. Some travel is required.
