The Senior Information Security Engineer will help strengthen and protect the technology that keeps our organization running. As a Senior Information Security Engineer, you’ll design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity solutions across enterprise, cloud, and hybrid environments. You’ll be hands-on in strengthening security defenses, supporting incident response, improving automation, and advancing data protection and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) capabilities, including Microsoft Purview.
A Day in the Life
Your day will balance hands-on security engineering, problem-solving, investigation, and collaboration. You’ll fine-tune security controls and platforms, troubleshoot complex issues, improve DLP and data protection capabilities, automate processes, and partner with Security Operations and Infrastructure teams to respond to evolving security threats.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Engineer & strengthen security solutions across cloud, infrastructure, endpoint, network, identity, and data environments.
- Own and support enterprise security platforms, integrations, troubleshooting, and complex technical escalations.
- Drive data security and DLP initiatives, including data discovery, classification, access controls, encryption, policy development, and DLP technologies such as Microsoft Purview.
- Automate and improve security operations using scripting, APIs, infrastructure-as-code, and DevSecOps practices.
- Support security operations and investigations, including incident response, remediation, recovery, and improving security visibility.
- Lead security projects from concept through implementation, including requirements, solution design, testing, documentation, and operational readiness.
- Serve as a security subject matter expert, partnering across technical and business teams, mentoring others, and establishing security standards and best practices.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 5+ years of experience in information security, cybersecurity engineering, or enterprise security infrastructure with hands-on engineering experience.
- Broad security engineering experience across cloud, endpoint, network, identity, and data security in on-premises, AWS, Azure, or hybrid environments.
- Hands-on DLP and data security experience, including data discovery, classification, access controls, encryption, policy development, and/or DLP technologies. Microsoft Purview experience is highly valued.
- Strong automation and integration skills using scripting and APIs; experience with Terraform, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, or DevSecOps is a plus.
- Experience leading security initiatives including evaluating technologies, implementing solutions, troubleshooting complex issues, and improving security capabilities.
- Understanding of security controls and compliance requirements, with experience related to frameworks or regulations such as SOX, GLBA, FFIEC, or CIS.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant security certifications such as SANS, ISC2, AWS, or Azure are a plus. Familiarity with AI, LLM, or generative AI security is also a plus.
