Role: Java Developer

Employment: Contract - Inside IR35

Location: London,UK - hybrid

Skills:

  • Strong expertise in Core Java (collections, concurrency, NIO)
  • Experience with Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate
  • Solid understanding of integration patterns (Apache Camel)
  • Hands-on experience with IBM MQ (configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning)
  • Strong experience building microservices and RESTful APIs
  • Knowledge of message formats and data transformation (XML, XSD, XSLT, JSON)
  • Experience with SQL databases and ORM frameworks
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., TeamCity, Git-based workflows)
  • Comfortable working in Linux environments (bash, SSH)
  • Understanding of API protocols (REST, SOAP)
  • Experience delivering systems in a front-office / trading environment
  • Knowledge of financial products / investment banking domain

Desirable

  • Experience with Apache Karaf
  • Exposure to API Gateway technologies
