This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Operations Analyst (Finance) based in Brazil.
This role offers the opportunity to combine hands-on finance operations with data-driven business analysis in a growing, technology-focused environment. You will help keep core financial processes running accurately, from payroll and expenses to reconciliations and monthly close activities. At the same time, you will build reporting capabilities and dashboards that give leadership clearer visibility into business performance. Your analysis will help transform fragmented operational and financial data into actionable insights for strategic decision-making. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys both precision and problem-solving and is comfortable building processes where no established playbook exists. You will work closely with finance and cross-functional stakeholders in a collaborative, evolving environment. Accountabilities
- Manage payroll execution across LATAM and US systems, including contractor payments and payroll reconciliation.
- Oversee employee expenses, corporate cards, receipts, approvals, and reimbursement processes.
- Support monthly financial close activities through journal entries, account reconciliations, invoice tracking, and accounts receivable follow-up.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and reconciled financial data across relevant systems.
- Partner with finance leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis.
- Investigate financial discrepancies and operational issues, identifying root causes and ensuring appropriate resolution.
- Build and maintain leadership dashboards covering key business metrics such as revenue, sales pipeline, retainer health, utilization, and cash.
- Establish recurring weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting processes for leadership.
- Define, document, and maintain consistent business metric definitions across teams and systems.
- Conduct ad hoc financial and operational analyses to support strategic and day-to-day business decisions.
- Monitor data quality across platforms such as HubSpot, Attio, Deel, Greenhouse, and comparable business systems.
- Coordinate the resolution of data inconsistencies and system-related reporting issues.
- Translate fragmented financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights for leadership and stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, reporting systems, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Take ownership of assigned processes and deliverables while proactively identifying issues and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience in finance operations, financial analysis, business operations, or a related analytical role, ideally within a growing organization.
- Hands-on experience with payroll, expense management, financial reconciliations, and monthly financial close processes.
- Strong analytical capabilities and advanced spreadsheet proficiency.
- Experience using SQL and/or business intelligence tools such as Metabase, Looker Studio, or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated experience building dashboards, reports, and analyses for leadership audiences.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of comfort working with financial data.
- Familiarity with tools such as Deel, Justworks, HubSpot, Attio, Greenhouse, or comparable finance and business operations platforms.
- Ability to communicate financial and analytical findings clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong ownership and ability to manage responsibilities independently in a growing and evolving environment.
- Experience supporting both US and LATAM payroll or finance operations is preferred.
- Experience working in a startup, services business, or lean operating environment is preferred.
- Experience establishing reporting processes or analytics capabilities from the ground up is preferred.
- Experience with financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting is preferred.
- Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar technologies as part of daily work is preferred.
- Comfortable working in an environment where processes and priorities evolve quickly.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and identify underlying causes.
- Clear, proactive communication style, including the ability to surface issues early and ask questions when information is unclear.
- Builder mindset with the ability to create practical processes and systems without relying on an established playbook.
- Ability to work with precision while balancing operational execution with broader business insights.
