Full description

Duties:

Responsible for the Virtualization environment design, support, and automation. Provide operational support for the existing and future Virtualization and computing and VDI architectures. Design solutions to support existing and future services and enhance security posture. Provide advanced support to UCS – VMWare environment. Support VXRail VDI environment. Develop baselines, evaluate, and remediate vulnerabilities and security findings. Design and develop scalable infrastructure-as-code for bare-metal and virtualized infrastructure life cycle and develop software-defined storage and integration with ACM, Red Hat Satellite, including Infinidat/Cloudian CSI drivers. Design and develop cloud-native REST API integrations and integrate automation frameworks for end-to-end pipeline execution and validation across Kubernetes and non-Kubernetes based infrastructure using Gradle, Quest, and Jenkins or Ansible. Design and develop cloud-native developer platform environments by building custom IDE configurations, developing out-of-box workspace images (RStudio, JMeter, and Chrome), and automating deployments using DevSpaces, OpenShift, and ArgoCD. Design and formulate the virtualization strategies for VMWare VSphere and OCP, migration strategies between VMWare and OCP and event-driven messaging integrations using OCP Virtualization, KubeVirt, and IBM MQ. Meet with Business, IT and Security Leaders to develop requirements and communicate changes to the environment. Challenge the status quo with new ideas and drive innovation in the Virtualization environment. Apply comprehensive knowledge of concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments. Automate processes in the VMWare environment. Troubleshoot production problems like performance, and runtime issues within the virtualization environment. Address problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms. Evaluate and recommend application integration and testing tools. Provide Disaster Recovery testing support. Provide on-call support according to assigned schedule. Document changes, policies and procedures and drawings. Contribute to projects of various sizes and schedules. Up to 40% telecommuting permitted. $169,000-$199,400

  • The salary range listed for any given position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. If hired at OCC, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, experience and/or education.
