Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to support our Business Intelligence (BI) program. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Power BI, DAX, data modeling, Power BI Service, and data source connectivity, along with the ability to work closely with business and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather business requirements and translate them into Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models.
  • Design and maintain reusable Power BI semantic models, relationships, and security including row-level and column-level security.
  • Connect Power BI to SQL databases, APIs, BigQuery, ArcGIS, Excel, and streaming datasets.
  • Develop advanced DAX measures, calculated columns, and custom calculations.
  • Build interactive dashboards using slicers, drill-throughs, ArcGIS visuals, and other Power BI features.
  • Analyze and optimize report and data model performance using DAX Studio and Power BI Performance Analyzer.
  • Publish and manage reports in Power BI Service, including access controls and scheduled refreshes.
  • Use Tabular Editor Best Practice Analyzer to follow modeling and DAX best practices.
  • Work with Excel data, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and existing business processes, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Follow organizational source/version control practices and use Azure DevOps as required.
  • Collaborate with business users, data analysts, integration teams, and other stakeholders to deliver BI solutions.
  • Communicate technical concepts and data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
