Our department is responsible for ensuring that Desjardins has modern, secure and accessible analysis platforms. These platforms help Desjardins be more agile in achieving its business objectives for its members and clients. We’re looking for a Data Valorization Analyst, Power BI Front-End Expert who will be responsible for designing, developing and optimizing dashboards and data visualizations enabling business users to make informed decisions. You will contribute to the design, optimization and deployment of robust, high-performance analytics solutions. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in data modelling, advanced development with Power BI and performance optimization. This position requires excellent proficiency in front-end development in Power BI, the ability to influence functional directions and ensure solution consistency in a constantly evolving environment. More specifically, you will be required to:
- Design and develop star schema data models in Power BI Desktop, including with the use of advanced DAX and time intelligence functions.
- Perform data cleaning, transformation and normalization using Power Query (M), including through the creation of parameterized queries.
- Manage and configure Power BI Service environments, including: workspace management; report sharing and governance; the creation of Power BI applications; the use of deployment pipelines; and access management for reports, applications and data.
- Optimize the performance of analytics solutions by: reducing model size; improving model simplicity and efficiency; managing cardinality (1:1, 1:N, filter direction); implementing aggregations; leveraging composite models; skillfully using DirectQuery, Import and Dual modes; analyzing and optimizing DAX queries; and using the Performance Analyzer tool.
- Produce and maintain clear technical documentation and user guides that facilitate the adoption of delivered solutions.
- Collaborate with quality assurance specialists to ensure deliverables are reliable and comply with requirements.
- Contribute to refinement, planning and demonstration activities in an Agile environment.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the methods, standards and tools used by the team.

What you bring to the table
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of six years of relevant experience
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Experience in Power BI development in a professional environment (modelling, Power Query, DAX, reports)
- Experience working in an environment that requires a high degree of independence, rigour and attention to optimization
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and explaining technical concepts in clear and simple terms
- Knowledge of French is required
- Proven ability in managing stakeholders (internal clients) and the user experience, and in understanding complex business needs
