Financial Analyst
This Financial Analyst role is a key finance partner to the NetApp GTM Sales organization, providing financial insights and analysis that help improve business performance, support growth, and drive better decision-making. The Financial Analyst will support business leaders by building financial models, preparing forecasts, analyzing performance, and helping evaluate investments and strategic opportunities.
The ideal candidate has strong financial and analytical skills and can turn complex data into clear recommendations for business leaders. They are proactive, curious, and focused on results, with the ability to influence decisions through data-driven insights. The candidate should also be comfortable using AI and advanced analytics tools to improve forecasting, speed up analysis, increase efficiency, and deliver higher-quality financial insights, while maintaining strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
The Financial Analyst role provides a broad range of financial support and analysis. You will help make sure department goals and project deadlines are achieved and communicated clearly. Key responsibilities of the department include:
- Lead AI-driven reporting and analytics initiatives to accelerate insights, improve decision-making, and shorten reporting timelines
- Use AI-powered analytics and automation tools to improve communications and processes related to GTM financial analysis, forecasting, scenario planning, and reporting accuracy
- Analyze quarterly and annual financial results, including bookings and margin trends from prior periods
- Build and maintain financial models to support short-term and long-term planning
- Work with teams across the business to understand key drivers and provide data-driven insights through AI-enabled reporting
- Create executive-ready dashboards, AI-powered reports, presentations, and variance analyses for leadership
- Support strategic projects through financial analysis, predictive analytics, and scenario planning
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, automation, and data quality to increase efficiency and accelerate timelines
Job Requirements
- FP&A experience in supporting global GTM Sales through financial planning, forecasting, and performance management.
- Experience in applying AI to financial analysis and modeling to improve decision-making, increase forecast accuracy, automate processes, and drive business results.
- Strong background in building financial models, creating analytical tools, and using data to support business decisions.
- Works effectively with teams across different functions, leadership levels, and external partners.
- Comfortable in fast-paced environments, taking ownership, driving communication, setting priorities, and solving complex problems independently.
- Recognized for strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly and align stakeholders.
Education
- Undergraduate degree in Business or Accounting preferred
- 8+ years experience in Accounting / Finance
Compensation The target salary range for this position is $155,000-$185,000. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. The range is based on 'On Target Earnings’ (OTE) representing the total potential earnings, which is the sum of the base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off, various Leave options, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s). These offerings are subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
