Candidates must have an associate degree in a science or engineering field or at least 3 years of relevant quality experience. Proficiency in using measuring devices and strong analytical and communication skills are required.

Rotating 7am-7pm Schedule

Duties and Responsibilities:­

  • Responsible for all quality inspection and checks including but not limited to 3-Tier Dimensional, Length, Surface, Go Gauge Fit, Color, Bow, and Impact Testing.
  • Responsible for guiding accept and reject decisions.
  • Notifies extrusion teams of substandard production results and works with cross-functional teams to improve the production process.
  • Responsible for collecting data and monitoring samples according to VEKA Standards.
  • Evaluates extruded products to assist in developing Tooling Maintenance Requests (TMR).
  • Performs all AAMA 3O3 testing and document testing results.
  • All other duties as assigned

Skills:

  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of using measuring devices such as Datacolor, Ascona/Promex Profile Measurement, Comparator, Calipers, Loupe Magnifiers etc. preferred
  • Ability to communicate issues tactfully across multiple teams
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Keen attention to detail, accuracy, and precision
  • Excellent computer literacy, specifically in Excel/MS Office suite
  • Work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to use discretionary authority

Education & Experience

  • Associate Degree in Science or Engineering related field or a minimum of 3 years quality experience and/or science related experience

Organizational Relationship:

  • Reports to QA Manager

Physical Requirements:

  • Essential functions of this job are to perform a range of physical activities throughout the workday, including climbing, balancing, stooping, reaching, kneeling, crouching, crawling, walking, grasping, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions.
  • An essential function of this job is to lift and or move up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly.
  • Must be available with predictable and regular attendance onsite to perform the essential functions above under key functions whenever employee is scheduled to work.
  • The worker is required to function in narrow aisles or passageways.
