Who you’ll be working with
We build the solutions dreamed up by the product and design teams. Our goal is to deliver working software every two weeks. We are a large team that spans across three global offices, but we collaborate and integrate front- and back-end components and interfaces to provide a user-centered experience through web and mobile platforms.
What you’ll be doing
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality cross-platform mobile applications using React Native.
- Build reusable, scalable, and maintainable application components using TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
- Develop and integrate native functionality using Swift/SwiftUI for iOS and Kotlin for Android.
- Build and maintain Turbo Modules and native bridges to expose platform-specific functionality to React Native.
- Work with Expo, including development, builds, and Over-the-Air (OTA) updates where applicable.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, QA, and DevOps teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Optimize application performance, memory usage, startup time, and overall user experience across iOS and Android.
- Investigate, debug, and resolve production issues using monitoring and profiling tools.
- Participate in technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and estimation sessions.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers by promoting engineering best practices.
- Integrate third-party SDKs and platform services such as payments, analytics, authentication, push notifications, and maps.
- Publish and maintain applications on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, including release management, code signing, provisioning profiles, and app submissions.
- Stay updated with the latest React Native ecosystem, mobile technologies, and industry best practices.
What you’ll need to be successful (Requirements)
Must-have Skills
- Strong experience building production applications using React Native.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Experience with state management libraries such as Redux Toolkit, Redux Saga, or Context API.
- Experience integrating REST APIs and handling asynchronous programming.
- Hands-on experience with iOS development using Swift and SwiftUI.
- Hands-on experience with Android development using Kotlin.
- Experience building and integrating native modules using Turbo Modules and native bridging.
- Experience with Expo, including development, builds, and OTA updates.
- Strong understanding of the React Native New Architecture, including Turbo Modules, JSI, and Fabric.
- Experience deploying and maintaining applications on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills for React Native applications.
- Experience using Git, pull request workflows, and code review practices.
Should have skills:
- Experience with secure authentication, authorization, and data protection implementations.
- Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills across teams.
- Ability to recommend and implement technical and process improvements proactively.
Nice to have skills:
- Modern Frontend: Experience with any JS framework Next/Nuxt or library ecosystems.
- Experience working with serverless, microservices, or monorepo architectures.
- Integrations: Prior experience integrating ERP systems or Payment Gateways with Shopware.
- Architecture: Experience with headless commerce architecture and Shopware B2B modules.
