About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join the Mobile Modernization team supporting a customer-facing mobile platform that enables guests to manage bookings, access itineraries, view trip information, and enhance their overall travel experience. This role extends beyond traditional BA scope, the person will effectively run the team's Agile delivery, owning ceremonies, estimations, and story point tracking, while also writing requirements and acting as the operational backbone for how the team executes day to day.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather high-level requirements and understand the end-to-end scope of initiatives
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements, including features, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Break down complex requirements into smaller, well-defined deliverables to support engineering and product teams
- Collaborate with technical teams on solutions involving APIs, system integrations, and data workflows
- Own and facilitate Scrum ceremonies — including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and PI planning — ensuring sessions are well-structured, time-boxed, and drive clear outcomes for the team
- Support Agile delivery more broadly, including estimations and velocity tracking
- Ensure alignment between business goals, technical feasibility, and delivery timelines
- Validate solutions through UAT, requirement traceability, and stakeholder feedback
- Maintain clear documentation, process flows, and requirement artifacts
- Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and gaps in scope or requirements
- Work effectively across time zones to support cross-functional collaboration
- Support technical evaluations of other consultants when required, contributing to the assessment of skills and alignment with project needs
What You Bring
Core Requirements
- 10+ years of proven experience working as a Business Analyst, ideally in technical or product-driven environments with at least 3 years working with mobile applications (iOS and Android).
- Demonstrated experience running Agile teams end-to-end — facilitating ceremonies, owning estimation processes, and tracking velocity/story points (planned vs. actual)
- Comfortable operating as the de facto Agile lead/Scrum Master in addition to BA responsibilities, when no dedicated Scrum Master is staffed
- Strong technical understanding of APIs, integrations, data systems, and digital platforms
- Experience working closely with business teams to gather requirements and define solutions
- Demonstrated ability to break down complex requirements into features, stories, and deliverable components
- Solid experience working in Agile frameworks (Scrum, PI planning, sprints, estimations, velocity tracking, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured, detail-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate between business and technical audiences
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities, and dependencies
- Experience in the Cruise industry is a plus (but not required)
Working Style
- Strong communication skills – able to clearly express ideas and technical concepts in English
- Proactive mindset – takes initiative to identify and solve problems without waiting for direction
- Ownership and accountability – treat tasks and systems with a sense of responsibility and follow-through
- Collaborative attitude – works well in cross-functional, multicultural teams
- Adaptability – comfortable navigating ambiguity and evolving priorities
- Attention to detail – mindful of quality, security, and system reliability
- Continuous learner – keeps up with evolving tools and best practices
- Customer-oriented thinking – prioritizes business impact and end-user experience
