Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Java Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and relational databases, along with good software engineering and problem-solving skills.

The candidate will work closely with product managers, business analysts, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other developers to deliver reliable and high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications.
  • Develop scalable and secure RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code.
  • Participate in technical design and architecture discussions.
  • Develop and optimize database queries and data models.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Write unit and integration tests to ensure application quality.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards.
  • Integrate applications with internal and external systems through APIs and messaging services.
  • Collaborate with QA, DevOps, frontend, product, and business teams.
  • Support application deployments and production releases.
  • Monitor application performance and contribute to performance improvements.
  • Maintain technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Technical Skills Core Java

  • Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17+.
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
  • Good knowledge of Collections, Exception Handling, Multithreading, Streams, Lambda Expressions, and Java APIs.
  • Understanding of design patterns and SOLID principles.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.

Spring Framework

  • Strong experience with Spring Boot.
  • Experience with Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
  • Good understanding of dependency injection and Spring ecosystem.
  • Experience developing RESTful web services and microservices.

Database

  • Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
  • Experience with JPA/Hibernate.
  • Understanding of database design, indexing, transactions, and query optimization.

Microservices & APIs

  • Hands-on experience developing microservices-based applications.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP, and API integration.
  • Experience with API authentication and authorization such as OAuth2/JWT.
  • Knowledge of API documentation tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI.

Testing & Development Tools

  • Experience with JUnit and Mockito.
  • Good understanding of unit and integration testing.
  • Experience with Git and version-control practices.
  • Familiarity with Maven or Gradle.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools is preferred.

Cloud & DevOps – Preferred

  • Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Knowledge of Docker and containerization.
  • Exposure to Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with application monitoring and logging tools.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging technologies.
  • Understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architecture.
  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Knowledge of caching technologies such as Redis.
  • Experience with performance tuning and application optimization.
  • Exposure to cloud-native application development.

Compensation, Benefits and Duration

Minimum Compensation: USD 44,000

Maximum Compensation: USD 154,000

Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
