About the Role
Central to CME Group, the world’s largest derivatives marketplace, is our Commodities business line, which provides the critical benchmarks, risk management tools, and liquidity that fuel the global agricultural, energy, and metals ecosystems. The Asia-Pacific (APAC) region represents a massive growth engine for our commodities portfolio.
As the Product Marketing Manager for APAC Commodities, you will be responsible for translating global commodity strategies into highly effective, localized marketing programs across the region. Based in Singapore, you will act as the regional marketing expert, working hand-in-hand with APAC Sales, Product Business Line Managers (BLMs), and global marketing teams to drive product awareness, support broker partnerships, and ultimately generate leads and liquidity.
This is an execution-focused, high-impact regional role suitable for a dynamic marketer with a strong understanding of financial markets, derivatives, or physical commodities. You will report to the Head of Commodity Product Marketing.
Key Accountabilities
- Campaign Execution & Localized Strategy: Develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns across APAC that align with global commodity priorities while addressing specific regional nuances and language requirements.
- Partner Marketing: Work closely with the APAC Sales team to identify co-marketing opportunities with key partners. Design, manage, and execute joint marketing plans to drive volume and client acquisition.
- Content & Education Production: Partner with internal content, digital, and education teams to create highly relevant materials (webinars, reports, focus months, educational content) tailored to institutional clients, commercial firms, and sophisticated retail traders in APAC.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the marketing linchpin in Singapore, seamlessly collaborating across regional Sales, global Product Managers, Corporate Communications, and digital marketing execution teams.
- Project & Timeline Management: Own regional project timelines from end to end, ensuring marketing collateral, event support, and digital campaigns are delivered flawlessly and on schedule.
- Data-Driven ROI & Reporting: Coordinate activity across allocated budgets, track campaign performance, and compile high-quality metrics reports to measure marketing activity against business KPIs (leads, engagement, volume growth).
- Market Intelligence: Monitor the APAC competitive landscape, macroeconomic trends, and local regulatory changes impacting the commodities and derivatives markets to inform regional messaging.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5–8 years of relevant B2B marketing experience, ideally within the financial services industry, derivatives marketplace, brokerages, or the commodities sector.
- Regional Expertise: Strong understanding of the APAC financial landscape; experience marketing to diverse audiences across key regional hubs (e.g., Singapore, China, Japan, Australia).
- B2B Execution Skills: Proven track record of executing multi-channel marketing programs (digital, email, events, paid media, and content marketing) that drive tangible business outcomes.
- Relationship Builder: Exceptional collaborative skills with a proven ability to work effectively with remote global teams and local sales stakeholders.
- Analytical Mindset: Comfortable using data and analytics tools to measure campaign performance, optimize channel mix, and report on ROI.
- Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex financial products and technical commodity concepts into compelling, clear marketing copy. (Professional fluency in a second Asian language is a plus but not required).
- Agility & Drive: An entrepreneurial spirit with a hands-on, proactive approach to managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
