Senior Manager, Oracle Fusion Platform Engineering

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Manager, Oracle Fusion Platform Engineering to lead the design, development, administration, and continuous improvement of the Oracle technology landscape. The individual will be responsible for providing technical leadership across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Fusion ERP, Oracle CX Cloud, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Oracle Platform Services, and DevOps practices.

This is a player-coach role requiring deep technical expertise, architecture oversight, and hands-on execution. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience and lead a team of platform engineers and developers while actively participating in solution design, development, deployment, environment management, and platform optimization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

  • Serve as the technical owner for Oracle Fusion Platform, Oracle CX, OCI, and associated Oracle PaaS services.
  • Define and execute the platform roadmap supporting business transformation and application modernization initiatives.
  • Provide architecture guidance and technical governance across Oracle ecosystem solutions.
  • Drive platform standardization, security, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

  • Manage OCI environments including Compute, Networking, Storage, IAM, Security, Monitoring, Logging, and Disaster Recovery.
  • Oversee platform provisioning, patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
  • Implement and maintain high-availability and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Optimize OCI consumption and manage cloud costs effectively.

Oracle Fusion ERP & Oracle CX Platform

  • Lead administration and technical support of Oracle Fusion ERP and Oracle CX environments.
  • Manage quarterly Oracle releases, patching activities, regression coordination, and environment refresh strategies.
  • Partner with functional teams to assess, design, and implement platform enhancements.
  • Ensure platform stability, security compliance, and operational readiness.

Development & Integration

  • Lead development efforts using:
  • Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
  • Fusion Extensions
  • Visual Builder Studio (VB Studio)
  • REST/SOAP APIs
  • BI Publisher
  • OTBI
  • PL/SQL and SQL
  • Design and develop integrations between Oracle applications and third-party platforms.
  • Establish development standards, reusable frameworks, and coding best practices.
  • Review and approve technical designs and code implementations.

DevOps & CI/CD

  • Own deployment automation and release management practices.
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for Oracle Fusion, OIC, and OCI-based applications.
  • Promote Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation-first principles.
  • Ensure controlled and auditable deployments across development, test, and production environments.

Environment Management

  • Own end-to-end environment strategy including:
  • Production
  • UAT
  • SIT
  • Development
  • Sandbox environments
  • Manage refresh cycles, environment cloning, migration activities, and configuration promotion processes.
  • Maintain release calendars and coordinate cross-functional deployment activities.

Licensing & Vendor Management

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Oracle licensing across:
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
  • Oracle Fusion ERP
  • Oracle CX Cloud
  • Oracle PaaS Services
  • Ensure license compliance and effective utilization of Oracle subscriptions.
  • Work directly with Oracle support and account teams on escalations, renewals, audits, and optimization opportunities.

Team Leadership

  • Build and lead a high-performing team of Oracle platform engineers, administrators, and developers.
  • Mentor technical resources and drive skill development across Oracle technologies.
  • Establish performance metrics, operational SLAs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner closely with business stakeholders, architects, and delivery leaders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 15+ years of enterprise application experience.
  • 8+ years of experience with Oracle Fusion applications and Oracle Cloud technologies.
  • 5+ years in a technical leadership or management role.
  • Deep hands-on experience with:
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
  • Oracle Fusion ERP
  • Oracle CX Cloud
  • Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
  • Visual Builder Studio (VB Studio)

  • Strong development background with APIs, integrations, automation, and cloud-native solutions.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

  • Demonstrated experience managing Oracle licensing and subscription models.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle Cloud certifications in OCI and Oracle Fusion applications.
  • Experience supporting global 24x7 enterprise platforms.
  • Knowledge of SOX-controlled environments and IT compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing large-scale ERP and CRM transformation programs.
  • Exposure to Agile, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.

This role is expected to be 70% technical / 30% managerial, with continued hands-on involvement in the Oracle technology stack
